As we re-enter with Vol. 7 of Meeting Of The Minds & I've got a very special set of tracks on this one.

Even though I've known Sully for a number of years now, we've never actually been able to work on a tune together, for no reason in particular. We've been supporting each other's music in that time & I've been a big fan of some of his music, especially the tunes on his label Uncertain Hour, his recent EP on Astrophonica & his collaborative EP with Kid Lib on Magic 3. But our paths have never really crossed musically, so I thought that this collaborations series would give me good reason to get in touch and work on something with him and the outcome of that is "Windswept".

Next up on our mix series we have Dub Athlete. This mix is packed full of bass weight riddims. Warming you up with dub and steppers vibes, taking you on a journey through Breakbeats and Jungle bangers. Dub Athlete is a multi-genre DJ from Brighton. Known for her high energy sets, she commands and enlivens the dance floor, fusing 140, breaks, left-field bass, Jungle and more. 

Her mixing style and selections have gained her a residency at the long running bass music night The Mine (UK) alongside sets supporting the likes of Exit Records and most recently playing her first international event in Tbilisi, Georgia. She also puts on free parties every month at Brighton's beachfront venue the Fortune of War, curating diverse line ups with local DJ’s.

Dub Athlete was inspired to take up DJing in 2016. She dusted off her cousin's old Numark turntables and learnt to mix with a collection of dubstep records. Four years later during the Covid pandemic she started building her digital collection and experimenting with other genres, quickly gaining a reputation for herself as a multi-genre DJ. She continually expands her music collection with new and old music, motivated by the desire to connect with, elevate and move her audience.

For more than a quarter of century Ulan Bator crew has been a promoter and supporter for Bass, Dub, Dubstep and Jungle or simply any kind of broken beatz at Leipzig. To be part of a steady musical flow and the love to any kind of breakbeat music from the beginning of dub, roots and foundation culture till the developments today are the strengths from which we gain ideas and impulses to continue pushing things forward. Currently the crew runs a regular called 3Takter with Dub crew Plugdub and friends of Vibes Ambassadors, and participate as co-partner in a couple of club nights and festivals.     

Ulan Bator family is backed by a couple of djs who have reached a whole age  experiences on decks as Base, Derrick, Malcolm, Mary Jane, Mighty Melody, Reckless and Snoopy. Crew runs two labels: Ulan Bator Records and <a href="http://soundcloud.com/junglelivity" title="Base">Junglelivity</a> which released tracks of producers as Bay B Kane, Bone Man, Blue Hill, Direct Feed, D.I.S, FeyDer, FLeCK, KMS, Krinjah and Rolling Paper.
