George lived honest and good, and did as he should, 
Where’s the line?

***When someone becomes a symbol of a revolution, we remember stills that encapsulate the glory of their impact. George Washington on the boat, Martin Luther king Jr. at the National mall. George Floyd will, at least in the public consciousnesses, be remembered for the wicked way he died, with a knee on his neck begging for his mother, begging for air. But George Floyd lived with vigor and passion for 46 years before that. He was a passionate athlete, an artist, a father of 2. But his legacy as a human being will forever be overshadowed by how he died. As a community I find one of the most serene roads to redemption is reclaiming the memory of who this person was. Honoring them by letting them be more than a symbol, but a human being with all the rights and memories attached. I wrote this song with whatever information I could find of George Floyds life. From what I could find he was a “gentle giant” with a pure and selfless soul. Black lives matter,  they have always mattered, they continue to matter. Why are we still dealing with this shit in 2020. Why do we have to have these select few assholes hold us back as a country. Racists are a useless form of life and have no place in our America. Vote. Vote so hard that they don’t wanna be here anymore. They can go live on a plastic island out at sea or something and deal with sharks.***
