This set is very special for me. Here is why.
The first time I heard The Junkies & Carlo Lio - Last Days (Eric Prydz Intro edit) was probably 2010. Later I had the privilege to listen to it live. I remember the reaction of the crowd, the smiles, pure joy when that melodic intro turned to filthy techno. I remember hugging a total stranger. It was one of those memories. I started listening to electronic music around 1995. Back then Richie Hawtin was amongst my favourite dj’s. (Still is, cause he is a legend). His “Plastikman Mixmag Live! Volume 20 (1995)” was probably the first set I was totally in love it. Till today, probably have listened to it at least 1000 times. A timeless set. That is why the opening two songs of that legendary set (Lausen - Dry Ray, G-Man - Quo Vadis) are my second and third song of the set. Fourth song is in my opinion a very underrated but a perfect song (Bmbmnd - Coordination). After this 20 mins, it was time to go back to my normal dark, emotional melodic techno style with strong kicks. I looked for a suitable song for quite a while. Then I remember Charlotte de Witte playing Third Wife - Easy which is actually 139 bpm. I played it at 126 bpm which gave me the feeling I was looking for. I wanted to share these. Because while doing this I enjoyed a lot and it brought back a lot of good memories with it. Hope you enjoy it as well.

As a label that’s been growing for just over five years now, there are certain artists who’ve shaped our journey long before we even knew we’d start one. DJ Caspa @tundecas41 is one of those djs. We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more. Ultima – inspired by the Latin word for the furthest and the ultimate, this name reflects my journey and my perspective as an outsider.

My musical journey began in childhood when I first experimented with FL Studio on my brother's computer. What started as a playful pastime grew into a deep passion over the years. I've always been fascinated by the diversity of music and love how different genres express emotions in their unique ways.

Today, my music is all about honest, powerful sounds that embody the energy of EDM and techno. My goal is to offer listeners an intense experience: euphoria, melancholy, strength, and lightness – every emotion has its place. At the same time, the dancefloor remains the focus. With energetic, dynamic tracks, I aim to unite feelings and movement, creating a sense of joy, freedom, and connection.

Ultima – inspiriert vom Lateinischen für das Äußerste und Letzte, spiegelt dieser Name meinen Weg und meine Außenseiterperspektive wider.

Schon in der Kindheit begann meine Reise in die Welt der Musik, als ich mit FL Studio auf dem PC meines Bruders experimentierte. Was damals wie ein Spiel wirkte, entwickelte sich über die Jahre zu einer tiefen Leidenschaft. Ich war schon immer fasziniert von der Vielfalt der Musik und genieße es, wie verschiedene Genres Emotionen auf ihre eigene Weise ausdrücken.

Heute steht meine Musik für ehrliche, kraftvolle Klänge, die die Energie von EDM und Techno in sich tragen. Mein Ziel ist es, meinen Zuhörern ein intensives Erlebnis zu bieten: Euphorie, Melancholie, Stärke, Leichtigkeit – alle Emotionen dürfen Platz finden. Dabei bleibt die Tanzfläche im Fokus. Mit aufgeladenen, dynamischen Tracks möchte ich Gefühle und Bewegung vereinen, um ein Gefühl von Glück, Freiheit und Verbundenheit zu schaffen.
