In the starlight is a documentary film written, directed and edited by Mathieu Le Lay.

Synopsis:
During the darkest hours of the night, while the rest of the world is sleeping, outdoor photographer Paul Zizka ventures out into the wilderness in search of the world’s starriest skies. His journey to photograph the celestial wonders takes him from his home amongst the peaks of the Canadian Rockies to the wild, desert dunes of Namibia and remote ice caps of Greenland. Ever the adventurer, he must balance his work and passion for photography with his equal devotion as a family man. In the Starlight is an intimate portrayal of Paul’s quest to capture the night skies, and what his time spent under the stars has taught him about life, love, adventure, and our place in the universe.

DIGISEEDS is the first chapter in a series of Ultimae compilations conceptualized by Czech artist Lubos Cvrk aka Ambientium. As an electronic music stakhanovite, Lubos brought together composers from all around the world to create a story which slowly enwraps the listener in a soft and eerie ambient reverie. 

From minimal acoustic patterns melting into intense pads, ethereal dub lines blending with glitch, gentle electronica and a certain neo-classical aesthetics, DIGISEEDS paints new grounds and plays with textures to achieve a soothing and swirling dive in experience for the listener. 

Ambientium, in this first chapter, offers an emotive and exclusive mixed selection of 12 tracks from the composers Lars Leonhard (Germany), Martin Nonstatic (Austria) and One Arc Degree (Greece), known to the Ultimae realms, and plants new seeds with the participation of composers such as Ocoeur (France), Mandrax (Tasmania), Cloower Wooma (Russia), State Azure (UK), Jani R (Finland), Synapsia (UK) and himself (Czech Replublic).

Aboriginal music and culture is deeply entrenched in nature. The Aborigine would go into the wild and listen intensely to animal sounds, not just voices but also the flapping of wings or the thump of feet on the ground. The Aborigine would also listen to the sounds of wind, thunder, trees creaking, and water running. The essences of all these sounds were played with as much accuracy as possible within the droning sound of the didgeridoo. What are we talking about? It's all about Ambient music.

Created at the end of the 90’s by Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson respectively known as AES Dana and Mahiane, Ultimae first unfolded as a musical portal to share Ambient and its many facets, as widely as possible, by the production of records, an online shop and the presentation of artists and labels of this, then, emerging scene.

Ultimae has since been developping its activities with sound-design, post-production and mastering studios in Lyon, as well as a taylored publishing, licensing and sync service.
