Erot is Tore Kofod born in 1986 in Aalborg, Denmark. As a child he played recorder and drums, but stopped at the age of 9. In an early age he showed interest in electronic music: first it was Kraftwerk, and then later, he expanded to the sounds of Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and such. At the age of 10 he heard his first goa track, and was fascinated and thrilled with this type of music and the emotions he felt. 

Tore production skills vary to several ranges, creating mostly positive music with warm feelings, with great groovy and optimistic sounds, he manages to create music with a unique touch, with uplifting moods. But his range follows also more downside paths with reflective and contemplative music. Since the early releases Tore has been faithful to his unique style, but always pushing new boundaries and experimentations, and the result is the wide spectrum of styles since pure Chill Out, to more ambient tunes, from psychill passing through the more uptempo part of chillout to even progressive music. His inspiration comes from daylife experiences. 

His creativity flows from the simplest moments in life to the most exciting events, where he transforms those feelings in music, losing his mind to the multilayered leads that he creates to turn sounds into emotions.

Christian Samsara's DJ Set at Boom Festival 2023

On July 26, 2023, under the Portuguese night sky, Christian Samsara performed a spellbinding three-hour set at The Gardens stage of the Boom Festival. Crafting a sonic journey that seamlessly blended Ambient, Downtempo, and Deep Techno genres, his set was characterized by its atmospheric textures, intricate rhythms, and carefully curated track selection.

It was recorded, mastered at the Ultimae studios and can now be played on Soundcloud. Enjoy !

The cosmic cold spot is an area in space with an anomalously low temperature of the cosmic microwave background left over after the Big Bang, which should have been distributed evenly throughout the Universe. In music this area obviously corresponds to ambient.

This set compiled by DJ V++, which is a continuation of the “Cosmic Microwave Background” mix, contains ambient tracks released in different years on Microcosmos Records. Immerse yourself in the calmest areas of Cosmos and dissolve in space.

Ert - Only You For Me (Slowed)

Concrete Husband, in a curious alchemy, lets us see both sides of the coin at once. Piel, Concrete Husband’s debut album, expresses the artist’s dual sides. A searing flute opening delves into a torrent of techno madness, topped with two stellar remixes from techno icons TWR72 and 1morning. Concrete Husband takes us from introverted depths to extroverted heights by deftly defying genre. 
	
Concrete Husband’s experimental worlds exhibit his introspection. A troubled relationship’s end spawned the emotional ground for these six tracks. “Everyone else thought my relationship was perfect, and in my own fantasy so did I – but it was violent. He was lost, and I was lost too. Piel is me coming back to myself.” These pieces come from a place of self-discovery after the disorientation left in the wake of a painful break up. Tracks like Piel and Esperanza, appear beautiful and harmonious, but are undergirded with harsh dissonance, while tracks like Despedida and La Primera Vez wail out in sheer darkness. Concrete Husband’s sonic body of work is a disjunct and hazy self-contemplation.
	
If the first half of this double EP tells the story of discovering one’s own voice through introversion, the second half is the soundtrack of the new self’s extroversion. In a sharp turn, Concrete Husband nosedives into sweaty, sensual madness. This is raw, hot, techno built to sustain tension in the body. He melds hardgroove rhythms with industrial sound design to create an entrancingly dark vision of techno. Guided by his masterful four-deck approach to DJing, these tracks use alarming percussion and entrancing rhythms to make carnal body-music. Piel expresses a novel approach to both experimental music and techno, showing how physical highs and emotional lows horseshoe dangerously close. Concrete Husband’s bold album documents his personal rebuilding and challenges his listeners to see the other side.

Over the past year, a selection of artists have been digging through the depths of their creative pursuits, for material they either cannot finish, or else would like to see adapted. These same artists and more have delved into the resulting repertoire, and emerged with new, repurposed pieces.

Out of this births the first volume of the Sustain Series: a means for artists to make use of old sounds, hoping to bring forward music that might have otherwise not seen the light of day. Thanks to the input from a variety of fantastic musicians, old material can breathe new life, sometimes in more than one form.

In keeping with this 'recycling' of ideas, all proceeds of the compilation here on Bandcamp will go to Conservation International, promoting sustainability and conservation across the world.

It’s ever more important to think sustainably for the sake of our planet, and every effort we make will help curb the cataclysmic events we see shaping in front of us. Give what is feasible in these tough times, but most of all please enjoy this collection of recovered gems.

Album art for this series features the brilliant art of Fran McNamara, whose work makes use of repurposed materials. Through her use of 'found and tossed objects', she exhibits the impact of human activities on natural environments, and our wider connection with the natural world.

Her paintings make use of comics, maps, magazines and packaging in an attempt to "elevate the viewer’s awareness of our involvement as human beings in our world’s case for eco-sustainability."

Created at the end of the 90’s by Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson respectively known as AES Dana and Mahiane, Ultimae first unfolded as a musical portal to share Ambient and its many facets, as widely as possible, by the production of records, an online shop and the presentation of artists and labels of this, then, emerging scene.

Ultimae has since been developping its activities with sound-design, post-production and mastering studios in Lyon, as well as a taylored publishing, licensing and sync service.
