The Alkaline EP associates the works of AES Dana (Vincent Villuis) and MIKTEK (Mihalis Aikaterinis), the second chapter in a series of three. 
Skilful blend of granular soils, earthy glitches, oxydised rhythms & basslines flowing into diaphanous & breathing pads. 
These 3 new chapters explore the Minimal Ambient & Liquid Drum'n'Bass structures to in fine propose a cinematic and out of time chronicle, switching from quiet territories to ultra-modern violence.

Deep and dubby ambient flow gently pulsating with atmospheric electro echoings: enter Granite. 

Inspired by natural rocks this opus is composed by Martin Van Rossum under his Martin Nonstatic moniker. 

A twelve-tracks album of smooth catchy drifts, hypnotic melodies and waves of subtle beats that contrast with lush soundscapes. 
Spiced-up blend of deep techno slash house, dub and downtempo, enhances clean-cut electronic rhythms and soothing rolling bass lines. 
Granite is Martin’s third album following releases on Bine Music and Silent Season and tracks on several compilations including Passages and the forthcoming Digiseeds by Ambientium.

The composition of this Far & Off album began after on long period of detachment and isolation. 

This modern life we lead tends to saturate many of us with information, constant stimuli of all kinds and shatter time, as if we lived in small sequences. Some of us content themselves with that, some manage to regulate or tighten the flow, others collapse or pretend not to. 

I guess I'm not the only one to ever feel the need to fly away, remove myself from the ongoing swirl and purely vanish. 
It wasn’t a matter of waking up with a sudden urge, it built up, slowly, between the lines, it wasn’t caused by any philosophical, spiritual or religious belief either. It simply became a natural answer to the surrounding frenzy. 

To be on my own, far, in another context, without technology, an act of protection. Taste real solitude, a state in which no one else exists; cross the line, change rhythm and feel the passing of time. 
This is what I am sharing with you now, with keys and sounds, pads and patterns, glitches and drums. My desire was to compose contrasted tales, to bring light on the paradox, from one extreme to the other, harshness to tranquility. 

Mihalis, as he encountered a similar situation was keen on putting those emotions into music and the perfect partner as it turned out.

Turning the page on 2020, Archives delivers its first release of the year. The independent label kicks things off with a full-length album. Consisting of eight tracks, “The Darkest Place” illustrates pre and post-pandemic life. Warmth, like many of us, faced adversity while penning his greatest musical achievement. In spite of all that, the Spaniard presents another ambient masterpiece! Its fifth mix, “Cirrus,” brings deep textures and subtle nuances together in perfect harmony.

Created at the end of the 90’s by Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson respectively known as AES Dana and Mahiane, Ultimae first unfolded as a musical portal to share Ambient and its many facets, as widely as possible, by the production of records, an online shop and the presentation of artists and labels of this, then, emerging scene.

Ultimae has since been developping its activities with sound-design, post-production and mastering studios in Lyon, as well as a taylored publishing, licensing and sync service.
