"This in-between season, the one which does not exist but can at times be perceived. It could be the indian Summer or the beginning of Spring, something contrasted and filled with unusual lights." 

This fifth climatic season is the basis of the album conception. Tracks were created in times of pause and transit periods. Season 5 is a series of small tales made of samples and waves, charged with the energy of deep bass and tribal beats. A fluid downtempo wave building into morning trance. 

Essentially composed by Vincent Villuis (former member of Asura) with several artists' participation : Mahiane, Pascale Auffret and Sir John. These encounters enabled the birth of an ambient sound standing at the crossroad of several influences.

Inspired by natural rocks this opus is composed by Martin Van Rossum under his Martin Nonstatic moniker. 

A twelve-tracks album of smooth catchy drifts, hypnotic melodies and waves of subtle beats that contrast with lush soundscapes. 
Spiced-up blend of deep techno slash house, dub and downtempo, enhances clean-cut electronic rhythms and soothing rolling bass lines. 
Granite is Martin’s third album following releases on Bine Music and Silent Season and tracks on several compilations including Passages and the forthcoming Digiseeds by Ambientium.

Ultimae proudly presents the new remastered edition of Connect.Ohm's first album "9980" a subtle and emotive story born of the musical encounter between Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland and Alexandre Scheffer aka Cell.

The nine tracks on "9980" compose a serene ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones. 
Koizumi’s widely spread, otherworldly, organic, sustained wizardry, compliments Scheffer’s spiraling, liquid, delicate yet sumptuous acid ambient type architecture. This combination creates a kinetic and spacious tapestry that stimulates the mind and soul. A pure delight for vast soundscapes audiophiles.

This second edition released with a brand new artwork will be available in CD and all digital formats on June 28th 2018 and a few weeks later as a magnificent Double LP.

Ultimae proudly presents "Hereafter", a collection of past and present works by Mihalis Aikaterinis aka MIKTEK to which the Greek composer desired to give a second breath and offer a new dive into his deep musical world. All tracks were carefully chosen, revisited, reedited, recorded live, remastered and assembled with two unreleased ones to create a smooth melancholic journey.

Washed out blissful pads and slow idm rhythms are to be expected as the foundation of this release. From the warm ambient vibe of Dawsonia to the dubbed out landscapes of Omniprescence and the glitchy rhythms of Atmosphere of Neglect, Mihalis cruises through multiple electronic territories while keeping a coherent sound along the way. 

Sometimes reassuring, sometimes dark, but always captivating, these pieces feel like a never ending ascent to the lights above.
During the troubled times we're experimenting, "Hereafter" resonates with a touching singularity. While the title might evoke dismal images, what we hear is an invitation to look farther than anything else, farther than our present times, to journey to clearer skies and quieter waters.

This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
