Riptide (Vance Joy Cover)

The original version of the song was a little too heavy on the vocal portion, drowning out the back instrumentation. This version has a much better balance of between the vocals and the rest of the song, while still keeping the vocals at the forefront of the song.

The final version of a song I wrote several years ago. Felt like the right time to update and rerecord it.

In life, in all things ever to have existed and will exist, there must be balance. Creation is so inebriating that often, one forgets that is does not come from vacuum. For form to take shape, another shape must lose its form.
And so it is that when creation runs rampant, destruction waits patiently in its wake.

In a day and age where almost the entirety of human knowledge is in the palm of one's hand, the amount of willful ignorance is baffling. Where curiosity is muted by the mind numbing ways to pass the time, the potential that lies behind the bright screen is left unrealized by so many. There is so much to learn in this world. How can you not want to know all that you can?
