The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.

The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning.  But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled.  The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.  

Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe.   I hope you enjoy the music.

Shiba San - Okay [Preview]

In only a short period of time, Ultramajic has proved itself to be a reliable source of modern house and techno with a unique overarching aesthetic that makes it stand out like a neon beacon in the endless sea of dance labels operating today.

This release - the label's ninth - marks an important step in its history: the premiere of a totally new, formerly unknown artist who goes by the name of Chambray. It only takes a few seconds of listening to any of the four tracks presented here to see why he's been initiated into the Ultramajic stable - he turns out some uproarious, vintage-touched house with considerable bass heft that would do Chicago-style veterans like Steve Poindexter proud while showing off more modern house styles that have become touchstones of Ultramajic-affiliated DJs and producers like Aden and Jimmy Edgar himself. To simplify: put these on in a club, watch it go boom. 

Ultramajic continues to blaze its own distinct path through the world of electronic music in 2014, and here Chambray has proved himself to be a valuable recruit - capable of churning out total burners that have a classic vibe to them with a modern bite and ruggedness.

Frankfurt-born Emanuel Satie has made a name for himself based on his groovy, deep and sometimes funky signature sound.

‘Gold EP’ is no exception, with a soulful touch to top it off, the title track bounces with energy as it displays its old school charm through classic use of sampling and groove.

‘All The Lights’ continues with this theme while adding a bit more of a tech-house touch through a twisting bass line and hot percussion.

Wrapping it up, Emanuel brings us ‘100’, a brighter and even more tech-house-y track as the last. A great end to a fantastically upbeat dance-friendly EP.
