On September 27th, 2021, C2C Festival X Fundación Marcelo Burlon broadcast a unique artistic project filmed in Ibiza under the direction of London-based digital AV mastermind and long-term Aphex Twin visual collaborator, Weirdcore. Curated by Venezuelan experimental artist, singer, performer and composer, Arca, it offered a transdisciplinary euphoric performance alongside guest performances from Physical Therapy and Total Freedom, to reflect an investigation into avantgarde, and new pop pursued by the C2C Festival; always under the banner of cultural independence.

This summer series is a celebration of equality, self-affirmation, and love with music created by our brothers and sisters. Strap into this hour long mix of his signature style of italo and bitchy jack tracks.

Honcho Podcast Series 65 - Jeffrey Sfire

In this mix, I used 100% Chicago House. I chose tracks that have been staples in my sets over the past five years, so I think that this mix has the energy of one of my DJ sets, even if it isn’t cross genre. I moved to Evanston in 2008 and then to Chicago in 2012, so I have been here for a minute but am definitely a transplant. Suddenly being surrounded by Chicago house was super influential for me largely due to its keen interest in polyrhythmic percussion and melody at the forefront. This mix is not holistically representative of the genre. It is a glimpse from my POV.
