Jazz/Rock Fusion piece I wrote in response to terrorists blowing up yet another historic site, the Mosque of Yunas (Jonah).  The title is a reference to the Taliban's senseless destruction of the Buddhas of Bamiyan in 2001.  Composed, recorded and mixed on Ableton by the bass player of the Band Lost in Processing (Ul Balis)

This has eleven lush acoustic guitar tracks and two mandolin leads, layered on top of an Irish Slipjig.  And yes, it really is in 9/8 time.

Inspired by a day of my department, as a well-equipped team, literally dumpster diving in search of an irreplaceable item.  Does the blues come from literally swimming in rancid, vile garbage, or from the regret of not finding what we sought out to regain?  Perhaps a bit of both....

After much thought, it became evident that my prior release of Josie's Song was in the wrong mode.  This is the re-composed and re-mastered version, now in Em.  For me, this version evokes the full range of hope and fear that can happen at the same time, in the setting of insurmountable challenge.
