As the time of year to collate our annual Jalapeno Funk compilation drew nearer we once again had the enviable headache of having to go through the list to only pick 20 tracks for the record... 

As difficult as it was we can now proudly present to you Jalapeno Funk Vol. 9 - a generous serving of killer cuts from our roster. Bringing you the sounds that made us what we are today - it’s a full length, nonstop party vibe machine... A certified dancefloor magnet and this year a team of scientists have even proven that playing this collection in sequence also makes you physically more attractive and increases your IQ* 

The collection as always is a celebration of our funkiest new releases with classic Jalapeno tracks and exclusives from friends and like-minded labels. The Jalapeno crew are all present and correct with contributions from all the aforementioned artists plus Smoove & Turrell, Dr Rubberfunk, Basement Freaks, Radio Trip and Skeewiff. 

Also our extended Jalapeno family in the shape of Légère Recordings and 45 Live Records have also chipped in with some funk nuggets by Myles Sanko, Boca45 and Aeon Seven for good measure...

Um-Bongo was a delightfully addictive mixed fruit flavoured kids drink. Um-Bongo is now a two piece disk jockey outfit who are always on the search for something just that little bit funky. Spanning disco, afro beat, early house, rock-a-billy, jazz and of course funk and soul. Since our début 8 hour mega mix onboard the MS Stubnitz we have taken to the idea of playing sets spanning the whole night exploring all areas of 'funk'.
