My birthday was a few days ago! A big thank you for all the birthday wishes I got when making the community post! I unfortunately did not have anything quite ready for it, sadly, but at least it's here now!

This song is... contextually rather complicated and personal and almost about as unfitting as possible for what was supposed to be a birthday special (unless the fact that it's about two separate representations of myself in an unlikely battle that will totally not happen in any other AU ever nope nuh uh then it's VERY fitting because that's twice the narcissism).

The motifs used here are mostly things I made (or in one case, one of my favourite songs when) I was younger. There's one thing in here that's a bit newer but that's a bit of context I'm not quite entirely sure I'm going to elaborate on yet.

Unbelievably, I actually did some vocal work for this! Cannot believe I'm adding THIS to the list of possible description sections, but here we are.

I've decided to start from scratch instead of finishing the "Infinite" version for a couple of reasons:
1) I lost the original FLP
2) Since I wanted it to be over 10 minutes, it was so full of parts and ideas that it became very bloated and not fun to listen to. Trust me when I say that the preview you got was the best part of the song.
3) I thought it would be fun. And it was.

One more thing.

EXITIUM v8.0 // PRIME DIRECTIVE

Sort of drum and bass for this beat battle. Took a handful of samples from Destructive Intent's lovely sample pack and tried to build something using some fairly complex chord sequences. Brass and strings are from UJAM's excellent cinematic instruments.
