Bart Skils returns to Drumcode with his third solo release, ‘Shadowprint’. Consisting of Bart’s famous rolling drums and bass rhythms he has crafted an EP that is exceptionally functional. With each track Bart has added character by introducing vocals, interesting melodies and deep percussion to keep it interesting. The EP is made up of 3 peak time tracks that are eloquently put together. ‘My Part Of Town’ is a bit deeper from Bart and contrast’s well to the rest of the EP with it’s melodic bass line.

The widely beloved super-heroes Moonbootica & Ante Perry joined forces for an enthusiastic and seldom recording gathering. The masterly artists amaze with an extravagant floor-filler. Their “Look Out” composition focuses on building tension, but not at the expense of orientation and dynamics. It immediately sets an energetic vibe that will keep the crowd’s heart rate up. Staring back to 2011, Adam Beyer and Alan Fitzpatrick’s ‘Human Reason’ track was a huge Drumcode release and with Len Faki’s new stamp on it, he is showing the unique talent that Drumcode have within their ranks. Len Faki’s Remix incorporates the original lead sound into different rhythms and puts it against different sound textures to create a sure-fire techno track. ‘Memesis’ is a new original track from Adam Beyer and Alan Fitzpatrick that uses a deep bass line to create a solemnly dark atmosphere. It also uses synth stabs help to enforce this trippy, hypnotising ambiance that moulds the track together.

What’s 2 m tall, lives Behind the Iron Curtain, has 1605 reasons to run an awesome label, and flies? Meet UMEK, a techno legend from Slovenia.

UMEK is personally responsible for kickstarting the electronic music scene in his home country by first organizing illegal raves and then becoming one of Slovenia’s most wanted export products and the number one music ambassador to the whole world.

And he does fly! Around 100 times per year, visiting almost every continent each year. His gig diary ranges from dark underground clubs in Berlin to massive techno stages at the world’s most renowned festivals. 

Apart from making his name in the DJ booth, he’s also a tireless producer. He mostly releases on his own imprint 1605, and most of his tracks end up on the very top of Beatport’s charts. After more than 25 years as a professional musician, he decided to use his experience and skills in the entrepreneurial world. Together with his managers, he founded a music-tech startup Viberate (www.viberate.com), where they are building the world’s greatest music platform.
