Was für eine Tristesse! Nicht nur, dass die WM-Gastgeber ein Debakel erlitten, sondern viel mehr wegen dem unendlich schlechten Wetter, welchem wir die letzten paar Tage ununterbrochen ausgesetzt waren. Höchste Zeit also, unsere Stimmung mithilfe einer vollen Stunde feinster elektronischer Musik ein wenig aufzuhellen.

Andy Struzek heisst heute der Mann, welcher für den neusten Mix in unserem hauseigenen Podcast verantwortlich ist. Mit seiner Dropout-Crew zieht es den 23 jährigen Plattenleger regelmässig in Clubs wie in den Berner Jack Klub, wo er mit seinen treibenden Klängen die Tänzerschaft in seinen Bann zieht.

Basaec is the label founded by Cadenza chief Luciano as an output for the music of its roots, coming from the Chilean prosperous archives or from brand new productions.

The fourth episode of the series features two extended fleshy cuts of thick dance floor nourishment. “Nature Reverance” is a grandiloquent obscure hypnotic journey to the center of the Earth, permeated of bass frequencies and jazzy drums, exalted by a slithering capturing Leslied organ.

Less inward-looking but still thousands leagues under the sea, “Trance Ilvana” has a shuffled prancing rhythm over an ultra funky stripped down bass line; its swooshes’ and its drops of juicy synthetic quirks sticks smoothly with its driving bass drum.

A generous condensation of timeless electronic funk, and a kaleidoscope of Lucien Nicolet early allure, hard coded in his DNA.

Matteo Spedicati was born in Cagliari in 1980. His passion for music started at a young age with the study of the guitar. He spent his teenage years together with friends jamming in the studio and in garage bands. In the upcoming years he began to experiment with sequencers which was when he realized that he not only could compose his own guitar riffs but also scores of other instrumental elements.

As soon as he attended european clubs, Matteo was especially excited for the minimalist style of the period that took over in the european electronic music scene. In 2006 he released his first single on Gumption Recordings of Darmstadt. From that moment on, he commenced his work on a series of brilliant releases supported by world renown DJs and producers such as Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and many others.

He has worked with Joseph Capriati on CMYK, Alchemy and MIndshake,
Alessio Mereu on Toy for Boys, Mr. Bizz on Tuning Spork and Resopal and Mendo on Great Stuff.

Recently he’s releasing his music on labels such as Seth Troxler’s Play It
Say It, Davide Squillace’s This And That Lab and Jamie Jones’s Hot Creations

His ability to be a a great DJ and a great studio producer results in a musical line that can shake any dance floor while maintaining always a good level of class and sophistication.
