Such a shame that this set was recorded without the whole dynamic resolution. High and low frequency sounds are cut out. Like it was recorded with high and low pass filters. I'd be such a good set!

For the last mix of 2021 we are joined by RÆZA: born in Madagascar and raised in France. He is co-founder of the likeminded collective Klangangriff, based in Vienna, and resident DJ of the Dresden based queer collective Rawmantique. Thanks to his Malagasy origins he always lived in the world of music, but really started to shape his own sound from 2018 on.

RÆZA describes his own style as fast, textured & sexual. For him, music is a powerful vector of feelings. It generates a feeling of emotional security, love and has a sensual and erotic aspect. The most important part of his DJ set is the exchange of energy with the audience: it gives every performance a unique character.

RÆZA’s playful and energetic approach has led him to perform in many cities in Europe, such as Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, and Geneva, with even more exciting adventures ahead for the future.

Umwelt knows his craft. From his no-nonsense acid-drenched electro assaults to his more thought-provoking works, the Frenchman can shred speakers as well as soothe souls. These two sides of the New Flesh boss’ sound combine as he returns to Shipwrec with the ﬁve tracks of "Collapsar". Worlds collide in the epic “Galactic Empire.” Beats are lashed with punishing acid rinses as a bold cinematic backdrop takes form. “Collapsar” maintains the grandeur, broad expansive chords stretching above a plain of tight percussion. A frigid stuttering synthline introduces “Reﬂectivity”, a line that breaks into a horizon searching melody punctuated by crisp rhythms and arcing keys. The breadth and depth achieved across the EP is staggering, Umwelt balancing danceﬂoor electro with introspection. This immersive quality comes to the fore in the sweeping soundtrack of “Redemption Ark.” That calm is cracked wide open with the frenetic ﬁnale. “Day Zero” incises from the outset, drums cutting into bulwark of bass before a barrage of keys attack. Exemplary from a master.

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s.

In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.

As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, to name but a few.

In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving,hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky… and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor.

Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new,only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.

In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while it’s hot. Music style varies. All top quality output from new and established producers all over the world.
