Melodic “The Fate Of The Ship Unknown” opens A side with a pure robotic mayhem based upon synthetic strings, rushing leads and frantic arpeggiator flights over seductive vocals. Hostile and heading at the same. Progressive 
“Documented Contact”, coming next, signs an intricate yet groovy electro sci-fi masterpiece made of rolling bassline, moody atmosphere and pounding beats. This is Zeta Reticula at its finest!  The Lord of Darkness treats the flipside with a more aggressive sound. As its title suggests, 
“Hyperspace” propels the listener at light speed through the depths of the universe thanks to a dystopian machinefunk   atmosphere where hammering drums fuse with cold layers in Umwelt’s typical trademark. Classical electro shaker “Earth To Unknown” concludes this uncompromising 12” with a luminous structure enhanced with a deeper and soulful approach. The third compilation (of four instalments) in the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics is hitting physical and digital stores around the globe on the 10th of February 2023.

The concept of releasing artists, who performed at π parties (2014-2019) along with musicians who stood close to the label before and during its activity, gathers 18 tracks to the Limitation Compilation.

Music by New York City industrial legend Adam X, Swedish master mind producer Peder Mannerfelt and Irish Techno figure, Eomac (also one half of Lakker) finally takes its place on the label catalogue, along with tracks by the electro side of Italian born producer, Alessandro Adriani and the sound-aesthetic of UK hailing musicians, Slave to Society (formerly AnD ) and Sam KDC.
Berlin artists Alekzandra and Interviews appear with a synth leaning piece, and a hypnotic, broken techno contribution respectively.
You can also meet the sound of Tel Aviv’s finest electro duo TV.OUT on this release, which also includes a rare collaboration track by Ireen Amnes and Gramrcy.
Finally, ‘Limitation’ presents music by Greece affiliated acts of different backgrounds: from the dreamy guitars of Monochromatic Visions and the ambient/drone of Devika, to the broken beats of Zevla and Ønly, as well as the rolling techno of Thanos Hana. Not to mention the textures of noise band Phallucipher, the industrial slo mo techno of Thessaloniki’s, Archaic Intellect, and the noise-techno of label founder, 3.14.

A crossroad of different genres and production styles is offered in the formats of Double Vinyl Sampler, Double CD and digital for this compilation, titled “Limitation”.

Umwelt knows his craft. From his no-nonsense acid-drenched electro assaults to his more thought-provoking works, the Frenchman can shred speakers as well as soothe souls. These two sides of the New Flesh boss’ sound combine as he returns to Shipwrec with the ﬁve tracks of "Collapsar". Worlds collide in the epic “Galactic Empire.” Beats are lashed with punishing acid rinses as a bold cinematic backdrop takes form. “Collapsar” maintains the grandeur, broad expansive chords stretching above a plain of tight percussion. A frigid stuttering synthline introduces “Reﬂectivity”, a line that breaks into a horizon searching melody punctuated by crisp rhythms and arcing keys. The breadth and depth achieved across the EP is staggering, Umwelt balancing danceﬂoor electro with introspection. This immersive quality comes to the fore in the sweeping soundtrack of “Redemption Ark.” That calm is cracked wide open with the frenetic ﬁnale. “Day Zero” incises from the outset, drums cutting into bulwark of bass before a barrage of keys attack. Exemplary from a master.
