También es conocida por su ruido rítmico, alias postindustrial: Harsh Mentor. Ha dejado su huella en la escena con lanzamientos en [aufnahme + wiedergabe], Instruments of Discipline, Θʀ⊿cu⌊⊕ ʀ⋵cøʀɖs, Subsist records, Labrynth y otros. Today is such a somber day for the underground community. We have lost such amazing artists, and I have no words to express the deep sadness I feel. I've been listening to their discography the entire day, trembling as I remember their music, which has been a huge inspiration to me for the past 10 years. I've chosen my favorite tracks and tried to put together a tribute mix. Tears streamed down my face while recording, and I still can't believe it, but I feel gratitude for having had the chance to see them perform. May their art live on forever. 🤍🕊️

[EN] Although a relative newcomer to the contemporary techno scene, Mahk Rumbae - the British born and Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire - has been creating challenging 
experimental electronic music for 25 years working as one half of industrial/ experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a raft of varied solo and side-projects. 

Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record. 
Appearing only as a live act, not as a DJ, Codex Empire has performed at Fondation Sonore in Brussels, MaschinenRaum in Vienna, several cities in Switzerland as special guest 
of The Soft Moon, and numerous appearances in Berlin at Arena Club, Suicide Circus, Berghain and Boiler Room. 

Codex Empire has released two well received EPs on aufnahme+wiedergabe, and have remixed The Soft Moon for their Deeper Remixed LP. Forthcoming releases include an EP on Leyla
Records, a Konsumer remix on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and a Veil of Light remix on aufnahme+wiedergabe. 

Codex Empire delivers us this exclusive podcast as a introduction to his live act next October 15th, at Siroco Club, Madrid. Enjoy it!

"Chupacabras is an underground recording artist and dj. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, he also spent many years in Barcelona and New York. He currently resides in South London, UK.
Although he has been involved in electronic music for many years working as a dj, producer and promoting parties he remains under the radar. Having released only a handful of tracks on labels Basement Floor, Go Finger, Tutamen, Aperitif de la Mort, Analogue Texture and L.I.E.S.
He has always leaned towards a grittier side of music coming out of the Hague, Detroit, Chicago and New York especially. He plans on launching a new vinyl label in 2021 with some secret collaborations lined up. Also a few more tracks will trickle out on some new compilations before more solo EP's for next year."

In this mix he just wanted to put some denser and more hypnotic sounds together and play around with the frequencies a bit. Some of the material is quite new and some much older.

Simone Scardino has created a musical style and vision that truly is his own, sharing it with the world with his new solo project CONCEPTUAL.

Techno is body music. It’s all about this special feeling that you have when your mind disconnects and your body just follows the music, the feeling of freedom when you dance. Simone’s vision of techno unceasingly characterizes his unique productions as well as his DJ sets. Colorful and energetic techno, a powerful explosion of craziness and happiness at the same time. Three-dimensional spatial sounds combined with gentle but determined drum grooves create a mystical and whirling result and a killer stereo experience!

Last year Simone founded the Berlin based art and music collective Friendship Collective. Through his devotion to techno and visual and performance arts the idea for CONCEPTUAL was born. His performances will often be characterized by collaborations with visual artists and performers, creating a special techno experience for the people that come to see him play. 

Simone’s progressive approach to producing and DJing as well as his collaborations with artists in and outside music reflects his artistic vision and goals as much as his spirited personality, and, in its essence, embodies what CONCEPTUAL represents. Plans for the year hold upcoming releases as well preparing playing live, continuously exploring the world of electronic music with his fans.
