Kuba Sojka’s ‘Before Life’ EP on Rekids Special Projects (RSPX) starts with 'Fundamental Structures', a superb blend of futuristic moods, warped bass, and precision drums with spiritually minded melodies swirling around its lurching groove. 'Imago' is then a lithe, colourful cut with bubbling low ends and tripped-out synth motifs next to organic percussion, making for a beautiful mental excursion that journeys into deep space before 'Metamorphis' explores ambient-laced drum & bass. Closing out Sojka’s ‘Before Life’ EP is the superb 'Void of Self' completing this varied EP with an elastic deep house groove topped with dry hits and
sugar synth work.

Kuba Sojka is a live performer, musician, and producer who draws on funk, jazz, and soul sounds. He brings an experimental edge to his music and has explored IDM, electro, future jazz, and acid under his Kuba Sojka and Psi-Acoustic projects. He has landed on labels like Mathematics, Matrix Records, International Day Off Records, and Radio Slave’s RSPX, on which he released his ‘Life’ EP in April 2024, which won support from Ben Sims, Carista, Laurent Garnier, and Elisa Bee.

UK duo Yard One (Sound Of Vast, Vigenère, Tact) joins Anthony Georges Patrices' Ausblick with new three-tracker...
Jordan Bruce & Larry Jones aka Yard One have been teaming up to deliver their take on deep and hypnotic house and techno over the past decade, predominantly on their Tact Recordings imprint as well as the likes of Malin Genie's Vigenere, Tokyo's Sound Of Vast, Philipp Priebe's Stólar and Cinthie's 803 Crystal Grooves Collective Cuts among others.
Here though, they join Ausblick with their latest collection of works, opening with the dynamic deep house jam 'Cotton Candy Clouds' an excursion through organic drums, ethereal pad textures, weighty subs and an amalgamation of twinkling synth melodies. 'Scintillate' then egdes into the duo's darker aesthetic via murky bass, tribal percussion and swirling resonant synth modulations.
'Cobblestone Cadscades' then concludes the release on a deep and dubbed out tip with spiraling echoes, choppy flutters, off-kilter percussion and a snaking low-end drive.

At that club, they hosted matinee sessions which became a true benchmark in the Basque Country electronic scene, sharing the stage with DJs and producers of international fame.
