A short tune in the SPIRIT of the Halloween season, originally for SYNTH TALK show (2020). Performed with the Roland JUPITER-Xm with some sequencing by Zenbeats. Music by Robert Saint John, inspired by John Carpenter.

Night Stalkers

As the Rivers Recall is Mihaly Wulfen in a band situation - leaving behind the billowing ambient soundscapes and putting his guitar and bass grooves up front. The heavy drums distinctly counterpoint the meandering melody lines and stick the deceptively simple, yet soulful bass lines to the overall beat, which criss-crosses between reverb-drenched psychedelic themes, post rock song structures and fuzzed out stoner riffage.

Throughout the course of As the Rivers Recall's debut album, you'll hear psychedelic tones like cool water on a hot day and grooving rhythms like warm air on cold skin. Mihaly Wulfen creates a liquid, engaging flow of heavy psychedelia that stretches well beyond the confines of its constituent parts and offers a solar system’s worth of worlds to explore.
