This is BEAUTIFUL. What an interesting closer to give an EP like this. It feels like as if the other tracks were dark and closed in, something waiting to open up and spill. Then this comes along and makes me ascend. Cold, wide pads. Warm, smooth sub. A watery texture underlying everything. I can see myself walking through a garden with this in my head. What a vibe dude AND it's made perfect to loop. **Added to my top playlist.**

Ambient sorcerer &RUE returns to Unbeyond Anthologies with a new evolution of his style, the “BLUEPRINT” EP.

Haunting as ever, &RUE’s mastery of atmospheres is yet again on full display across this new 5-track project. Icy drones and distant pianos make for a decidedly more melodic project when compared to “The noble and great ones”, while still being profoundly chilling.

The far-off calling of mysterious melodies in “regaining sentience” and “qualms” bring a sense of warped groundedness, while songs such as the opener “SYNOPSIS” return to the ghostly soundscapes that &RUE has perfected.

"With ‘BLUEPRINT’, I wanted to challenge myself further with my ambient sound. As an artist who works with live/acoustic instruments more than electronic, I was curious to see how far I could push, extend an idea without giving myself a time limit. With every track having a base structure of a spur of the moment improv piano recording, I took the electronic manipulation and turned it up to an eleven.” said &RUE.

“Whilst borrowing traits of ambient noise wall, hauntology, drone, dark ambient, and field recording, I aimed to create another seamless flowing project as well. One that feels better connected than previous endeavours. For a five-track EP, I only used three project files. Canonically, there is a beginning, middle, and end."

After his contemplative drum & bass track on Unbeyond Anthology Two, new inductee Ojela returns to the label with a new 5-track project hot off the presses, “SOUL PLEASER”.

Opening on the textural title track, Ojela’s immaculate production and atmospheres are immediately on display with rattling IDM percussion and ethereal pads. “VOLTAGE” introduces more introspective melodics and a steadier drumline, maintaining the same rich soundscape of clattering sound design. “b with u” picks up the tempo and is underpinned by glitchy vocals and fluttering hi-hats.

“LIQUID DREAM” sees Ojela bringing in techno influence on the EP’s longest track, making for a journey of a song that evolves dramatically over its runtime and comes to an energized four-on-the-floor climax. “THAT FLOWER U GAVE ME” closes out the EP with gorgeous ambient pads and a peaceful atmosphere, capping off one of the most detailed and rich projects of 2025.

It’s a personal exploration of sound that has quietly taken shape over the years, now finding its place within Unbeyond Anthologies. The fourth volume of the AMFLARA series tasked our growing community with an exciting music production challenge: Create a full song from start to finish in a mere nine days. Over a hundred unique artists got to work and poured an incredible amount of time and effort into the following compilation, where we handpicked 40 songs composed for the event by 54 unique artists that we feel truly embody AMFLARA's motto of creative anarchy. You can expect a wide variety of unique genres and styles, ranging from Dubstep to Ambient to Footwork. Within AMFLARA, vol. 4, there is something for everybody regardless of your music preferences, and we could not have done it without our wonderful community of musicians and listeners.

All proceeds and earnings from AMFLARA, vol. 4 will be donated to CHIRLA, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, a non-governmental and nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees.
