With the darkest collection of music Unbeyond Anthologies has showcased yet, we are thrilled to present the debut EP from Thistlewilde, “Thorns & Thistles”.

Conjuring horrifying and oppressive soundscapes, label boss Scavenger’s ambient alias makes its grand debut with this 8-track collection. Beginning with a calm atmosphere and quickly diving into existential horror in lo-fi dark ambient form, “Thorns & Thistles” is a challenging yet entrancing experience that carries all the unique hallmarks of the musician’s music over to this new Thistlewilde alias.

“This EP, and more broadly my work under the Thistlewilde alias, is an exploration of my deeper emotions that I just can’t get across in dance music. I really expressed my struggles, my hopelessness, my fears, all of it and then some on this EP.” said Thistlewilde. “The core concept of the project is the ruining of childhood innocence alongside the struggle of identity and handling of trauma in adult age, framed through the dangers of environmental destruction that have become all too familiar in the real world currently.”
