In honor of #Mental #Health #Awareness Month in our #leadershipdevelopment segment our conversation centers on the tensions between being #selfish, #selfless and #selfull. We discuss the ways we are learning to  honestly craft #boundaries as an act of #selflove and #preservation.  We come to realize that resolving this inner-quarrel requires recognizing our own #selfworth. The struggle is real!

We highlight TWO time Doctor Melissa Charles who earned her PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and will be a Anesthesiology resident at Loma Linda University. Her current research interests include Clinical Anesthesia and Neuroscience; focusing on opioid pharmacology, and perioperative pain management. In her free time she encourages other young girls from challenging backgrounds to pursue the field of sciences and medicine!
