Hailing from the magical land of India, vinayak^a is no stranger to mystical rhythms and mysterious atmospheres. A part of India’s ever-growing scene, he’s leading the way with a series of releases that explore the deeper side of electronic music. This one is no different!

With a deep and warm bassline that picks you up and carries you across like a magic carpet, vinayak^a takes us into his dreamy world with such ease, that the listener cannot help but be transported to the ethereal realms. On the flip-side, German veteran Martin Buttrich disassembles the original into a pair of spacey delights, with his powerful yet atmospheric touch that made him one of the most respected producers around the globe.

Taken from the Mixmag-endorsed "Anjunadeep 05" compilation, Jody Wisternoff's "We Are Heroes" (feat. Pete Josef) offers a sunny update on classic Chicago house influences - inspired by tracks like "Can You Feel It" by Mr Fingers and "Let The Music (Use)" by Night Writers.

Blending modern house grooves, retro 808 touches and warm Balearic vibes, "We Are Heroes" features the classy vocals of Bristol-based singer Pete Josef ("How You Make Me Smile") and captures Jody's musical, sun-soaked take on the contemporary deep house sound perfectly. 

The first of two brilliant remixes, rising UK house talent Jacob Wiltshire aka J.Wiltshire follows on from his heavily supported "How It Is EP" with Hypercolour to deliver a deep, dubbed out and bass-heavy rework. 

Offering a more unravelling and obviously uplifting flavour, Panic Bomber from Kurtz & Bomber (Bedrock) adds an infectious interpretation that sits somewhere between deep tech-house and classic piano house vibes.

Completing the package is Jody's unique "Macbeth" track - again featuring on "Anjuandeep 05". With quirky, bouncy grooves, Inner City-style stabs and an almost Moroder-esque melody line, "Macbeth" is another brilliant fusion of retro influences and contemporary sounds.

"Circus founder Yousef celebrates a hat trick as he unleashes his third release with Defected to the masses. A sure-fire club hit from the mind behind ‘Beg’ whose previous releases have all seen such significant success that they have earned the Liverpudlian a reputation that is second to none. ‘I See’ is a powerfully emotive cut built around Charli Taft’s beautifully melancholic voice which this talented producer coalesces with warm melodic synths and a creative usage of brass samples accomplishing a delightfully enchanting outcome. Shadow Child provides his own unique spin to the track by fashioning Taft’s vocals around the signature Dirtybird inimitability, in this case an orchestral build up into a thudding lo-fi bassy hook accompanied by his distinctively energetic usage of hats and snare. Jessie J - Who You Are

"Who You Are'" was written by Cornish, Toby Gad and Shelly Peiken, while the production was handled by Gad. Cornish was inspired to name her first album, Who You Are after the song by the same name. She also revealed that she is proudest of the song. Cornish wrote the song at the end of a lonely three-month trip to Los Angeles when she was 20, having been shunted from studio to studio with various producers.
