Welcome to May's Exclusive Series mix... With Ajit Sarathi.

Ajit Sarathi, born in Himachal and raised in the city of New Delhi, began his career at an early age as a dj under the influences of old school dance musicians and groups from the late 90’s. His strong candidature as an outstanding dj stems from a blend of his professional experiences and his training in Indian classical music. 

He is considered by many as the man who contributes his special touch to every party by a mixture of charisma and his particular choice of music. Together with a sound that is best described as a sophisticated blend of melodic house and techno mutations, packed with twists and turns to assure complete floor annihilation, it is this refined musical vision that have made him one of the most sought after artists in his genre and a preferred pick for numerous dance promoters .

His energetic, upfront, “no holds barred” style makes progressive house, melodic techno, and break beat melt into one. He does not like to be put into one distinct category, rather he considers himself to be an underground dance music performer.

We’re back with edition #36 of our Podcast series and we are proud to showcase another amazing talent .. Nadia 🙌

Scottish born, DJ Nadia grew up in sunny Algeria, where her interest in music started and as she practiced her art, she became heavily involved in the local scene. Over the last 20 years, ever since she embarked on her musical journey, she crafted her DJ skills and is no stranger to the Progressive house arena, her style of Djing has been influenced by the legends; Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren and Sasha & Digweed to name a few, and brings us unrivalled pure progressive house vibes. Nadia has been based in the UK for the last 4 years, playing alongside great names such as Kasper Koman, Budakid, Paul Hazendonk, Moshic, GMJ & Matter at amazing events run by the likes of Modern Agenda, the Prog Lab Bristol & Progressive Astronaut London …all of this without forgetting her active contribution to the Algerian local scene. You can hear more from Nadia on Saturo Sounds (every 3rd Monday of the month, 8pm U.K. time) and Frisky Radio (every 1st Tuesday, 4pm U.K. time). 

About the mix 

As much as I tried telling a story, I recorded this mix with one goal in mind, to make people dance, something I’ve struggled with over the past year during the pandemic and multiple lockdowns. Lots of brand-new music, the mix is packed with emotion throughout, with late night party vibes and energy, it goes deep, dark, hypnotic and melodic, I hope you all enjoy the ride!! Originally from Dublin but now firmly ensconced in his adopted Australian home, Alan Thomas has carved a growing reputation with his amháin production moniker. A regular at high-profile festivals and clubs including Burning Man, Lightning In A Bottle and Berlin's Sisyphos, amháin has seen his music reach the likes of Massive Harmony Records, LAIKA Sounds and 3rd Avenue after a debut for Sound Avenue in March 2020.  Most recently amháin has been welcomed as a resident label Dj for Melbourne prog powerhouse label, Meanwhile Recordings and is looking forward to more new releases in the coming months.
