Starting us off this month is Tassilo Vanhöfen. The Frankfurt-based DJ and producer has been on the GF radar for some time and we couldn't be happier to have him on the series. 
His productions tend to be mystical and pulsating down-tempo tracks with hints of goa trance. They've found homes on labels like Electric Shapes of which his release includes a killer remix by Anatolian Weapons, IDA, Neubau, Samo Records, and others, with his most recent EP being a self-released through his own Bandcamp page called 'Demis of Heaven'. Lock in for an hour-plus of seductive selections.

‘Panama / Suez’ is the first EP by trio @OrenAmbarchi, @KonradSprenger and Phillip Sollmann (aka @Efdemin). The three multi-instrumentalists collaborated with the goal of creating subtly shifting musical passageways: sonic routes that run between continents of musical category.

The results are two variations of kraut-y, groove-based post-techno that unfurl through mutating polyrhythms and chiming, ethereal guitar play – a rare moment of guitar and techno in deep embrace.

With a potential to sustain energy on experimental dancefloors, Panama / Suez lives from Ambarchi, Sprenger and Sollmann’s diverse input while reflecting a common penchant for both pop and the hypnotic.

SoHaSo is very happy to welcome an recently unknown entity on the label, Joannes is here with a fresh sound originating form the North of Holland. We all need to do shadow work once in a while, integrating our inner demons to create a more balanced reflection to carry out our lives from. The Got Needs EP provides the soundtrack for this personal journey, including delightful remixes by Nadia Struiwigh and Melatonin Man. 

Got Needs A1 is a powerful groove with heavily driven drum machines and 303 bassline for peak hour introspection, it doesn’t get more hypnotic than this. Melatonin Man strips down Joannes’ effort into a down-tempo electro affair containing some spell-binding rhythms that sure is to move some boo... 
On the B-side we find Joannes taking a more emotional approach, having pads and a cross rhythmic synth riff do the heavy lifting. Nadia Struiwigh takes these elements to the outer reaches of the universe. In her remix she slows it down and creates an intriguing dubby atmosphere with dystopian chords and industrial percussion.
