SR001 is the first of a bi-monthly series of self-released EPs and consists of 2 dancefloor ready tracks that I tested and played in most of my gigs last year.

In ‘A001’ granular and dissonant chords are accompained by a driving groove and a warm and deep bassline, while B001 is a straight 909 tool with a darker and more hypnotic atmosphere.

EvilGroove is an American-based techno label co-founded by Lindsey Herbert and Jason Doll that has featured artists such as Truncate and Dustin Zahn as well as supporting simmering underground talent.

'VA06' is a 10-track compilation of varying analogue styles that welcomes a host of talent from countries including France, USA, UK, Spain, Germany, Armenia, Moldova, Netherlands, and Romania.

Collectively the artists included have released on quality labels such as Nastia's NECHTO, Marcel Fengler's IMF, Dustin Zahn's Enemy, Dense&Pika's Kneaded Pains, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, TWR72's Float, Robert Hoff's trau-ma, Gareth Wild's EarToGround, Bruno Ledesma's Concepto Hipnotico, Kalden Bess' Ground Factory, Ketch's SYXT, HAYES Collective, DifferentSound, Xelima, amongst others.

Vekh is an up-and-coming French artist with a few years under his belt already, and he lists music on solid labels such as Ketch's SYXT, Bruno Ledesma's Concepto Hipnotico, ELBEREC, and Modern Minimal.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Echol" which is a dreamy techno ride. Sweeping bell tones glide over a jittering kick rhythm, while tension builds from rising, droning harmonics, instilling a soulful and introspective soundscape to this dubby and deep masterpiece.
