A song possibly slightly influenced by Steve Mason & the Beta Band. Oh well, they helped launch an entire collective/movement in Fife in the Noughties. Im not the only one. Conga playing was by Brian Rice.

Uncle Beesly - 01 - Intense Dance

Original demo recording of a riff played on a casio organ. Chords on left stereo, twiddings on right stereo. This was very hard to do. I kept on failing to repeat the riff. I probably couldnt play it now, well maybe on guitar. I'm not an organist. Beats were also done "in house" courtesy of the Casio. The finished song turned out sh*t in case you're interested.

'We Can All Get Home' Demo Riff

Recorded in 2004 as part of a college electronic music project. I think we were being taught about music concrete. I recorded most of the samples in the Chamber St museum & then added some synth nonsense. For some reason the thing seems to resolve (for no reason at all) into the theme from' Get Carter' at the end. I remember that the tutor didn't like this at all.

16 - Voice 25

A sort of backing piece for a poem by Ryan Van Winkle (that's him talking, yes?) called Stir The Soup. Basically a long anecdote about Christopher Walken & then the short poem itself. This is the only UB piece to ever see the light of day on a recording outside of Fence. Needless to say but Ryan is now a household name. Coincidence?

'Mystery Train/ Tiger Man medley by Elvis Beesley

I've been with FEnce Records since the beginning. I played with J Wright, Kate Tunstall, SDO, Khartoum Heroes, King Creosote, Shoemarket Hour, occasional sessions for Lone Pigeon/ Pip Dylan. bits & bobs for MC Quake (live).  I played bass for all of them, exept Gummi Bako, where it was nearly always electric guitar.
I took it all as far as I could. I even made it onto the soundtrack for a film, playing the bass parts.  The film was about Scotland in the past. Now I'm just an average nobody....& I get to live the rest of my life as a shnook.
