Zelda town meets Aphex Twin.  Quiet, gentle, and ambient, with a quick score of orchestral instruments sprinkled in.

Surveying Ruins

A quick heart-stopper of a track, largely "based" on an old school base sound you'd find in old video games that I couldn't resist using.  Organ slapping.

If You Catch Me I'll Just Kill You

Sampled around gentle video game pads and patches.  Ambient flavored.  Very basic, but a it's a real tear-jerker!

Walking Away

Ridiculous techno number with swampy synths and programmed drums.  Darude Sandstorm and Timberland ain't heard nothing!  Side-Chain compression at the end slam dunks the track.

Where's The Fire?

My brother (the one who is creating the video game) asked for a Gothic Castle, so that's precisely what I tried to convey with the track!

Gothic Castle Incarnation 1

One of my favorites! Creepy Mario Haunted Mansion/Zelda Well kind of feel to this track. Primitive synth models, much fun. The end of it is heavenly harp redemption, if you can make it that far and get through the goolishness!

I Change With The Weather

In my mind, kind of starts out like something out of Donkey Kong Country 64 or something, but evolves into some kind of creepy dark ambient space environment.

Entering The Dark Rift

Lots of extensive drum programming in the latter half of this tune. Much fun to create; took on a bit of an 80's synth flavor with a hint of techno, but mostly reflects my love for high energy video game music. Fun with attempting to emulate the real flavor of string arrangements as well.

Machinamal

This tune has an overt middle eastern flavor, with a grotesquely over-the-top "key-tarded" solo as the cherry on the top of the cheesecake. Reminiscent of desert level in Donkey Kong Country 64, or maybe a little Zelda 64. Influenced by some odd octatonic scales found in similar styles of music.

Holy War

My attempt at creating some more vintage sounding patches in the first section, then moving on to spacious space travel, and then onto more ambient relaxed qualities to cap it all off.

01 Eclipse Eternal

Hello all!  My name is Uncle Willy;  I have been commissioned to create these tracks for a Video Game (an Old School style Side Scroller), for which development is currently on hiatus.  Many of the songs were intended to reflect themes of potential levels, but most of my tracks are totally aimless, and seem to write themselves into existence using my hands as a medium.  I have a background as a keyboardist in Progressive Rock/Psychedelic Rock, and I have become increasingly fascinated by jazz/fusion and ambient music.  I have immensely enjoyed creating these little tunes on Logic Pro (sitting in my gitch and drinking too much coffee), and it may well be my dream job.
