High Steppas [Club Sweat]

King Roc was one of our biggest inspirations when we started Audiojack, we’d play his remix of Holderman - Left / Right Switch on repeat. We loved the electronic vibe of tracks like this and Chicken Lips - He Not In, it was this fresh electro house sound that inspired us to start making our own music as we wanted more of it for our own DJ sets! Our music tastes always seem to go in round cycles, and we’ve been enjoying this vibe again lately, so we made Wannabe. An ode to King Roc, and the sound that spawned Audiojack music… it’s out now. :)

After lighting up Hot Creations earlier this year with ‘Move Your Feet’, Papa Marlin makes a swift return to the label, this time joined by Ibiza-based Alev Tav, who makes her debut on Jamie Jones’ imprint, with ‘Funk Like Dis ’- a three-track EP steeped in Garage textures and built for summer floors, arriving 20th June. 

The title track ‘Funk Like Dis’ opens with off-kilter synths that pulse and ripple, setting a trippy, groove-packed scene perfect for peak-time energy. ‘Find Underground’ maintains that momentum with a slick, swung rhythm and wobbling groove that keeps the momentum tight and the vibe relentless. The finale, ‘Bass Roll Out’, drops a thick, fuzzy bassline fused with cascading percussive elements, creating a rich, wobbling texture that feels both raw and polished. 

Known for his lush, groove-heavy sound and sharp percussion, Papa Marlin approaches music with a genuine love for the art—a dedication that has earned him backing from artists such as Claptone, Solardo, and Gorgon City, along with spins on BBC Radio 1. Now teaming up with Alev Tav, a fast-rising talent on the Ibiza circuit known for her sets at venues such as Amnesia, Destino, and Cova Santa for events including Space, Deeperfect, and IMS Ibiza, the pair present their debut collaboration, ‘Funk Like Dis’—a bold, bass-driven fusion of groove and energy.

UNCLØSD is a House music producer and genre-blending DJ based in Biarritz, France. With deep roots in the French electronic scene, his journey began in childhood behind the decks and evolved in music engineering school, where production became a core expression of his craft.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Kerri Chandler, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer, and Laurent Garnier, UNCLØSD bridges timeless grooves with modern energy. His sets reflect this wide-reaching influence—fluidly navigating from soulful rhythms to peak-time club weapons.

His productions have found homes on respected imprints such as 2 Dutch and Moom, alongside boutique labels like Deep Argentina, Mustache, and Future Plan. His work has earned support from UK tastemakers including MIDGE, James Mayfield, and others helping to spotlight his evolving sound.

After shaping his style through a formative residency in Montpellier’s dynamic nightlife scene, UNCLØSD returned to his roots on the Basque coast, where he continues to perform and produce, channeling a deep love for house music’s culture and community.
