For the second round of the SYNTHICIDE split EP series, two projects merge together on a release that combine opposing perspectives on EBM music. Welcome Klack versus Inconscio Viola.

The lead track, “The Exorcist III,” features the collaborative project of Italian producers Francesco Baudazzi of Violet Poison/Diana Berti (Veleno Viola) and Andrea Riberti of Unconscious (Detriti, X-IMG) under the moniker Inconscio Viola. It's clear that the duo make a sensible pairing with their shared roots in vintage horror movies and nunsploitation film influences. With ghostly samples and a slithering bassline, the track snakes between the recognizable aesthetics of both producers.

Pre-order is available now via Bandcamp for digital and a limited edition of 33 pink fluorescent cassette tapes.

Foreign Policy is the electronic music project of uncompromising Berlin based artist Thomas Ricard, co-founder of Area Z. “Watching Existence” marks his debut release as well as his first 12”, a six track journey of abrasive club cuts operating as a conduit for his social observations on the modern condition, human rights and civil liberties. The 12” EP also includes a remix by SARIN. Available as vinyls & digital. ￼Active in various scenes since the 90’s, from days as a grafitti artist, to the emergence of techno in Europe and buying his first Akai 950 and Atari ST-1040, Milan-based Andrea Riberti  is a live artist and producer with his roots cemented in early rave culture,  drawing from the wake of Post Punk, Industrial and Body Music.  As a project, Unconscious surfaced in 2013 to further experiment within electronic music, acting as an outlet to communicate raw, post-industrial sounds. 

Earlier works under the alias were aimed within the techno field, with traces of EBM, such as 2016’s “Codex Gigas” EP on Berlin-based Advanced, and 2017’s sophomore album “Chaos Theory” on Moscow based, NEN Records.  Proceeding releases on SARIN’s X-MG, Marc Ash’s Blacksilk, Berlin-based Instruments of Discipline, AREA Z and Detriti Records, began to define an evolving course,  closely identifying within a new wave of EBM, cutting raw and nostalgic sounds with sharp modernity. 

Unconscious’ live  and hybrid performances are aimed at the fully body, moving dancefloors with a charged and sonorous strain of dark electronics operating on the fringes of body techno, acid, wave and italo.
