Silverlining, aka Asad Rizvi,accidentally fell into DJing in 1993, when he was invited to host an experimental techno show on a London pirate radio station, being the only person they know with any records of that ilk. When he first committed his early studio productionsto vinyl in 1995, he only expected it to be a short-lived stint of fun. The intentionwas to have a go at makingsome records that smelted the shuffle-heavy grooves of US house, the abstract energy of Detroit and deep techno, using the mixing desk as an instrument in the way that the early dub technicians did in Jamaica. Before long, he was invited to play his first gigs from Brixton to Berlin to Buenos Aires.Two decades on, the man-hours he has put into the studio and decks can                       be heard at every instance. With over 150 titles under different names, old titles recently have been fetching up to £75 on Discogs. In response he has decided to launch his Silverlining Dubs imprint to make the music accessible to ordinary vinyl buyers. The label has addressed the demand, whilst re-contextualising the sought-after back catalogue with fresh tracks, re-edits, and lesser-known gems. All titles have hitthe top 10 genre vinyl charts on Juno, with onenumber one.After several years of using other names, he has reinvented the Silverlining guise with the benefit of an extra 20 yearsexperience.All the while, his sophisticated, party-savvy DJ sets have been tickling feet and minds alike in over 40 countries, in hundreds of venues over from warehouses to main stages at festivals, often with repeat bookings that are too numerous to count. Although he has not headlined Ibiza’ssuper-clubs, he has played some of the world’s most illustrious venues, and remained a regular proponent insome of the world’s finest butlesser-discussed party scenes such asthose on the West Coast of USA andCanada, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Brazil and more. Dave is dedicated to musical integrity, through good quality, Deep Underground House Music, Techno and Cutting Edge Dance Music. Occasionally adding select genre’s and styles, like Nu Disco and IndieDance, with deeper and grittier sounding vibes, which he brings to his audiences for both The Uncut Connection Internet Radio shows and his Shudderfunk parties.

Dave gave birth to The Uncut Connection which evolved from FootTherapy, who were DJ duo Dave Simpson and Gary Welch, when they hosted their weekly Internet Radio Show The Underground Solution and their Gutterfunk monthly parties 

During their growth as FootTherapy, they were proud to have had the pleasure to display the talents of many World renowned, UK and International underground DJs, artists and acts.
These guests were specially handpicked by Dave and Gary (FootTherapy) for their involvement and commitment to the underground vibe, sound and scene. Their relentless approach to creating a one stop shop for good quality, meant their show and parties rapidly became a who’s who of what was happening on the scene at the time. 
During these years, although many of these guests were still mostly unknown, all of them already had deep rooted careers and influence in both the underground (and some in the mainstream) scenes of Underground House Music and Techno. 
These guests included the likes of, Asad Rizvi, Brett Johnson (Texas), Grant Dell, Rob Mello, DJ Vectif (Prague), D’Julz (Paris), Big Hair, Gideon Jackson, Tom Gillieron, Eddie Richards, Rhythm Plate, Dan Ghenacia (Paris), Tim Red, Luke Vb, Mr C, Mark Dale, Ravi McArthur, Household Recordings, Mike Surreal, Jane Fitz, Loft Recordings, Tempo ONeil, Nathan Coles, Nils Hess, Pash Ostovar, Dave Mothersole, Demarkus Lewis, Inland Knights, Chris Duckenfield, Jon Marsh, Liz Edwards, Stefan Goldman, Milton Jackson and Pure Science to name but a few.

Not long after their peak in 2006 and after a short break of fusing ideas, re tweaking of levels, and slight shifts of roles for Dave and Gary, Dave returned with the UncutConnection Live Internet Radio Shows and Shudderfunk parties to secret venues, and continues spreading the sound of cutting edge dance music again, whilst Gary continues to have an involvement, but from behind the scenes.

Although the sound has become much more easily available to the masses through the advancement of technology, media and fashion, and also as a result of this and normal evolution of attitudes, the sound has also become sub genre’d, renamed and in some cases misunderstood and represented, but The Uncut Connection’s underlying dedication to Integrity and good quality remains the same as it always was before. 
Whilst adding some select genre’s and styles to the overall presentation like Nu Disco and IndieDance which is a slower, sometimes darker edged and trippier electronic music, their foundations remain firmly footed within the deeper and grittier sounding vibes from House and Techno music, for both the internet radio show and their Shudderfunk Parties. 

Dave continues to be almost spiritually committed to the vibe, with an open ear on the pulse of the sound, and with an unquenchable thirst and desire to continue to smash down the boundaries of formulaic music and common routine. 
Dave's The Uncut Connection brings to the world stage good quality, live weekly internet radio shows, dedicated in hunting down both old and new and relevant guests for guest mixes, label releases, previews of acts and forthcoming artists which have so far featured both well known and unknown guests, including exclusive guest mixes and previews from talent such as, Tim Paris, Stefan Cordery, Kinetic Groove, Ashton Floyd, Danny Paintin, Nathan Coles, Wiggle, Daimon Santo, Asad Rizvi, Ross Allen, Sharam Jey, Tony Pockets, Saytek, Mark Tamsett, Sean Harvey, Tom Lown, Sarah LP, Terry Francis, Rob Mello, Rich Pack, Paul Soul, Ellergy, Marko Adulo, Dijan Kober (Zagreb), Dirty Doering (Germany), and Alex Gas (Rome) with many more in the pipeline.
