UndaGround Pushh  was launched out  in 1997 by DJ Mixxette from the New York / New Jersey area. She is known as one of the top female DJ's for the streets and had a very unique and creative smooth turntablist style on the 1200 Techniques.  UndaGround Pushh was established by her to help promote and push all types of artistes/groups that were seeking an outlet for their music to be heard. DJ Mixxette applied an idea and developed a concept to enhance many artistes/groups the extended opportunities to be heard and to promote the new "projects" on the streets. Many of the artistes at that time could not get their music played on the radio or in the clubs or just did not have the finances to make it happen. So a movement was started and "UndaGround Pushh (aka UnderGround Push) Street Promotions" MixTapes had started to hit the streets hard. This movement became a great success and  many unsigned and signed artistes/groups supported the movement. The UndaGround movement consists of Rappers, Freestlyers, Singers, DJ's, Turntablist, BreakBeats Makers, B-Boys & B-Girls, Producers, Composers, Writers, Lyricists, Beatmakers, Studio Engineers, Graffiti Taggers and etc. 


The UndaGround Project MixTapes was formulated like a MixTape radio station with interviews, DJ's mixing it up, open freestlye off the dome sessions and new independent music from the streets from everywhere.


The mission statement of UndaGround Pushh was to and still is to recognize and highlight the many unique artists and their talents as well as to provide an outlet for the music to be heard by hitting the streets hard!!!
