Where past episodes have screamed, this one whispers. Albeit based in Berlin, Claudio PRC’s sound recalls the heavily meditative braindance so abundantly exported from his Italian homeland this past decade. Call it something in the air, or water, the current is there; his particular brand of italo-techno though, borrows from early influences in Detroit and Musique Concrète to intelligently craft a mesh of textures, vibrations and sparing melody that frequently darts through the abyss and across the fourth wall. Who better than DIAL stalwart Efdemin could wrap up the year on such a distinctly class-act type of note? Probably no one. He who’s become an absolute gem trader over the years through a string of epoch-making efforts, including the time-proof masterpiece that is “Decay” in 2014, drops by to grace us with a mesmeric Xmas tale by way of waving goodbye to 2022. Extruding elements of techno deepness out their usual cast to mingle them with that exploratory, jazz-inflected approach of his - subtly pairing the lingering beauty of stretched-out synths with that of free-flowing 4x4 grooves and haunting melodies, Efdemin entices us on a path of delectably focused and flavourful techno sensibility. An absolute pleasure and honour for us to round off 2022 in such good company.

Luckily things felt very comfortable from the first beat and time just flew by - what a night. I was also very happy to play longer than planned!"

Marie offered some insight into her set sharing that - 

"For me personally it was quite special time because I dont get to do openings so much lately and it is actually the best slot. No pressure, slowly going from ambient to more rhytmic stuff, keeping it steady and yet building up the energy. I had that moment when I looked in the crowd after some time and the club was full and people just locked in the music.   I am always hoping for a patient crowd so that was heartwarming to see"
