My second song! For this one I learned Serum, a popular all-powerful wavetable synthesizer. A lot of the sounds from the lead synth, plucks, stabs, bass, and atmospheric chords were made with Serum. While the goal of my first song was just to "make my first song", the goal here was to refine the sound. 

Serum helped a lot by giving me the tools to sculped each element a bit further than I knew how to before. I also learned a bit of EQ-ing (cutting out or lowering some frequencies and boosting others), a bit about multiband frequencies (lower freq for bass/kick, higher freq for hats/cymbals, etc), I learned a ton of other little tricks too; cutoff filter automation, trance gate effect, better sidechain compression, how to build more interesting chords, as well as some things that made working in my DAW a bit easier. I also got a program to help with better mastering. 

The basic formula for the song is the same as the last one but the sound came out much better than before thanks to the things I've learned. On to the next one.
