Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore V, the King Mettaton ending, details an ending in which Asgore, Toriel, and Undyne are all slain, leaving Mettaton next in line for the throne. He's turned the Underground into an aesthetic corporate dystopian paradise. Humans are to be invited to join his Fan Club. And if they reject it, they die.

A strange talking machine known only as "The Watcher" takes the role of Flowey. Its intentions here seem to be to document Nex's journey throughout Mettaton's domain...or at least that's what it tells you. Why not trust it? After all, if Undertale has taught us anything, it's to ALWAYS trust talking things with stems popping up out of the ground.
