Once upon a time… 
An unlikely era of hope had entered the world of monsters. 
Yet this peace- if one could call it that- was soon due to fall into chaos. 
A strange KNIGHT, whispering in shadows, spoke of an ancient prophecy.
The true meaning of which had finally been uncovered. 

The heavens would come, and send to the underworld a messenger. 
One who would lead both monsters and humans alike to the horror of eternal darkness. 

People descended into panic and frenzy. 
All attempts made to disprove this were ignored. 
Calm only somewhat returned once the THREE HEROES ordered the annihilation of this angel…

An angel falls…

Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

The Underground has been overcome by a dangerous prophecy, one that has spread like wildfire. The Absolute will come- and they will usher in a new era. Some think of them as the end of the world, the final nail in the coffin for monsterkind, and others idolise them to an absurd extent, heralding them as their new god.

I curled up in bed, the soft sheets feeling like a cloud. As I closed my eyes, the worries of the day began to fade. I took a deep breath, and with a smile on my face, I was ready to be off to dreamland. The promise of a new day was still hours away, but for now, the gentle world of sleep awaited.
