This mix is an alchemy of sounds  incorporating and connecting the dots between house and jungle, via those tunes that altered my mind in how I viewed a genre of music at the time - it was a beautiful melting pot of sounds, ideas and culture.  In the early 90's you saw this beautiful crossover of breaks and the more tech sounds of house (techno) all mixed together, with some of the best of this music being heard between 91 and 93, where you could hear the earliest ideas of Drum and Bass really taking steps forward in shaping its own sound.  

I absolutely loved this period of time because I loved the sound of techno and house, but I also loved breaks that heard via the Street Sounds Electro series of tapes.  So for me this was a perfect fusion.

There are also a few newer tunes on here.  Only three, but these tunes kinda fit and I wanted to put them on.  Its my mix after all:-)

Welcome to my corner of drum and bass.  My corner is dark and light, tough and rolling beats and sonic weapons made to get your bass face on, move your hips, tap your foot, or just smile.   I am currently uploading my DJ mixes.  I am not in any way trying to promote myself as anything important, they are simply for fun and you'll hear some mistakes as well.  I was brought up on live DJ sets when the music was raw and undiluted and certainly not as polished as it can sound sometimes these days.  I will be mixing new music as I've always been an advocate of progression and some of the music produced these days in the DnB scene still has the ability to absolutely blow my mind and excite my aural passages.  Long live Drum and Bass.  And who knows I may reconcile and a long held desire to produce a track or two, and revisit some corners of my life that I thought I'd left behind.
