020 | THE SOUND OF: ALBERTO TOLO

The following series was founded to acknowledge producers for their influence on shaping the sound in the electronic music genre while simultaneously showcasing the distinctive musical style of each artist, featuring both released and unreleased music in an all-original podcast format.

K92 aims to reintroduce a sense of mystery surrounding artists by bringing back the focus on the music itself and creating a blank slate for listeners to develop their own interpretations. As a result, the sets on this platform do not include any press photographs or biographies. Instead, each set has been personally signed by the artist to complete their signature sound.

JANE, an up-and-coming DJ in Berlin's techno scene, collected influences from her Luxembourgish roots and Serbian heritage, which have profoundly shaped her distinctive sound.

 Her sets are known for their hypnotic, positive energy, that gets the crowd moving with mischievous smiles.

Jane has already graced the decks of renowned clubs like About Blank Berlin, Suicide Club Berlin, Remise Berlin, Südpol Hamburg, among others, and brought her infectious sound and captivating melodies to the Feel Festival.

Hypnotic, disharmonic, fast-paced, and with an added touch of fractal vocal elements-Mara Menace encapsulates all these qualities. As stated in her bio, she's constantly investing in "bleepy sounds, relentlessly exploring diverse tracks that may seem repetitive or familiar to some listeners. However, the true magic lies in her meticulous track layering, skillful use of multiple decks, swift mixing, and impactful hotcue jumps. For Miss Menace, mixing is more than just playing one banger after another.

Since relocating to Berlin, Mara's music has evolved, taking on a new dimension influenced by the city's unique soundscape and her fervor as a dedicated raver. Her production work reflects a desire to craft pure, minimalistic, and hypnotic grooves that capture the essence of Berlin's underground techno scene. Over the past two years, she has relentlessly honed her sound, culminating in the release of her debut Various EP through SweetSpot.

Future.666's stripped-down and tooly approach has made his name a highlight on any line-up: a pushy and highly energetic sound, powered by three decks that he fully employs, that delivers exactly what is needed for wild raves and dancefloor excess.
