Memphis is a Canadian musical duo comprised of the soft-spoken romantic lyricist Torqil Campbell (who also sings for Stars and BSS) and Chris Dumont, who I read used to operate the carousel in New York's Central Park.

The band just released there third full length album, Here Comes The City, on Arts and Crafts. Memphis is on tour now and will be in Montreal on Thursday April 7th at Il Motore.
