Sincopat is once again proud to introduce a new release with a very talented artist, for the new batch of the BeenToucheds series we have Argia. The Spanish DJ/producer demonstrates throughout this 3 track EP her ability to deliver music that is both elaborate in detail and full of new and unique sonorities.
To start with Ópalo, the title track of the EP contains synthesised vocals with an urban music feel, giving way to an addictive groove that transports us into the artist's unique sound.
We continue with Bold Girl, its great bass line and lead fit perfectly, leading us to a sublime and colourful stop that makes this timeless sounding song another winner.

Avidus is back on Hommage with their single ‘Dunes’ including remixes from Jesse Trinidad and Oberheimer. The duo, AKA Marc Wolf and Fritz Wagner, hail from Kiel in Germany and bring very different but complementary influences to the project. Marc is a DJ and self-taught drummer and guitar player, while Fritz is committed to music theory and composition. Their distinctive productions have already caught the attention of label bosses at Afterlife and Crosstown Rebels. Together they are a remarkable unit, seemingly destined to make dance music that tantalises the emotions as well as making the dance floor move.

Avidus - Dunes [Hommage]

We have the great pleasure to be able to present the talented German producer Paul Schmidpeter in our family. Ode To The Sun" is the name of this beautiful release of three tracks where the presence of organic elements with deep melodies will make us feel strong emotions. It also includes a remix of the consolidated German duo Avidus. The first track "Ode To The Sun" includes these elements in an exemplary way. Its intense melody accompanied by a sensual vocal and a constant bass line make this wonderful sensation possible. The depth of the second track called "Everything Floats" and its aggressive percussions make the combination perfect. It takes you to dream but keeps you constantly alert. The third track "Sirens" is a story from beginning to end. An evolution of feelings that will catch you capturing the elegance of its elements. Finally Avidus has painted in a majestic way on the beautiful canvas of "Ode To The Sun". This special version of Avidus makes our soul happy by creating a psychedelic and mesmerizing atmosphere with beautiful chords. Welcome to feel the emotions of "Ode To The Sun".

Paul Schmidpeter - Ode To The Sun (Avidus Dream On Remix)

The EP starts with the title track "Erlking". Named after the very dark and mystic king of the elves, this track is a heavy hitting beast. The rolling drum pattern sounds like a horses' gallop, accompanied by striking bass synth shots and signature Avidus effects and details. Then the lead comes in almost narrating a story of being chased by the king. After some rave moments the main break is happening and in a trademark Avidus' manner the harmonies and lead combine into a symphonic progression. After the drop, no more words are needed.

In her remix of the title track rising talent Nina Hepburn from Hamburg takes the lead of Avidus and adds a deeper drum kit, giving it a more elegant and progressive overall vibe. With some more melodic lines and a rolling baseline this remix is a beautiful alternative to the original.

On the "flipside" of the EP, the original named "We Know" is a next chapter when it comes to the deeper works of Avidus. A percussive drum kit with broken beats lead the way, then the emotional chord progressions come in. After some carefully selected arpeggios, emotional vocals come in and complete the song also giving it its title.

Then things get crazy with the remix work of mastermind producer and renowned Oddity labelhead Fur Coat, who takes the vocals and parts of the harmonies and transforms the deep original into a banger of a track, ready to smash dancefloors apart.

Fur Coat’s Oddity imprint seeks to continue its quality musical output. For the thirteenth release of the label, they welcome Esoteric Circle who present a stacked package of Melodic Techno, with two remixes to boot.

Esoteric Circle is born from the minds of two French brothers, Julien and Raphael Piacentino. Bringing their emotions together into a new and innovative sound, they focus on elaborate synth melodies and minimal percussive sounds to create tracks aimed directly at the dance-floor.

The Parisian duo present four original tracks on the EP, the first of which is ¨Odissea¨. Characterised by deep basslines and moving melodic progressions this sets the tone for the EP, transporting you to the deeper moments on the dance-floor. Moving forward “Matina del Amor” offers a faster paced setting, agile percussion programming pushes the track onwards taking the listener with it on its journey.

Lastly “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” the title track mixes up the offerings. Opting for a two step style beat, this switches the script perfectly, developing synths over the top of the off kilter beat provide an emotive and thought provoking tracks. Lastly “Night Appearance” rounds of the package, a slower and impassioned track which brings set ending moments to mind.

Joining the brothers on the package are Julian Wassermann and Remcord, neither are strangers to the Oddity family and both provide remixes of “Odissea” and “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” respectively.
Julian’s remix provides a lighter edition to the original, whilst Remcord’s remix offers a darker and deeper sound, both dovetailing on the record nicely. 

Esoteric Circle have Putting forward a strong and soundly compiled EP. An expansive pack, offering a large amount and tying in perfectly with the sound that Oddity has been making its name with.

The break from 'run to my light' as a scary movie or an old music box will provide your set a wonderful and weird breath as an anthem before the energy could rise again
