After a long hiatus from his debut ep release Modern Traditions in 2013, Moraes went to the lab to create a deep organic house album rooted in native rhythms and grooves. Earth kicks off the story with a feature from our own man or words, OVEOUS being forgiveness for our continued treatment of our source of life while moving on to Fingers, a hypnotic nodder with fingerlings courtesy of master tickler Jesse Gannon. Higher continues our journey with harmonica deepness via Victor Lopez. Conqueror gives nod to Lil Louis’ classic conversations in its sax appeal, One Shot the first single features and announces the return of Capitol A’s blessing on another Yoruba release. In Love Again, a sweet offering with the lovely voice of Nadirah Shakoor, guaranteed to melt the soul. No Escaping lends its heart with newcomer Aroop Roy’s tone to set the mood. Watch out for him! We end with the title song which complete out journey with its infectious melody and mood to get lost into. In short Rafaels, vision of deep house is clear and focused. Njoy!

On Monday November 9th 2013 we are rolling out a competition for budding producers/directors to design and producer a wonderful visual to accompany 'White Rose' from the acclaimed album from Atjazz & Jullian Gomes 'The Gift The Curse' We are looking for an artistic music video to fit the sonics of the song and to tell a story of 'Jazz meets Tencho'. A little abstract project to show off your skills and as music evolves, ideas also grow and morph. Be open minded, creative and free.

From the entries we will pick 3 winners and what you get in return for your winning entry will be:

• 1 Month of promotion for your Youtube, Vimeo, Twitter, Facebook page or chosen webpages.
• 3x CDs albums of The Gift The Curse for you, your friends and/or family.
• 1x Digital download of The Gift The Curse
• Your Music Video uploaded and promoted onto the Atjazz Record Company Youtube Channel and also our Vimeo Channel including all of your social media links, web links and credits.

Freaks follow up their release, Right Now featuring Robert Owens " with another exciting single on Rebirth. This time Luke Solomon and Justin Harris team up with Diz aka 012 to reinterpret the Womack & Womack classic ! In the words of Freaks, "We first started recording this record around 6 years ago. Originally to a live drum track. The track started off as a straight cover, then eventually was stripped down and remixed effectively. Diz used to stay with us quite a bit in London and around the time that we first recorded the vocals we had been listening to a lot of Funkadelic, The Style Council and this. Diz started singing it in the car and we just decided to record it for fun. It just seemed to work so well, probably because Diz really understood the soul of the track and captured it in the delivery of his vocals. We then added some backing vox and stripped that back and ended up with this version...The album, 'Conscience', that we took it from, is one of our all time faves " The one and only Henrik Schwarz also serves up a strong remix and dub with his trademark warm sound, piano, synth and acid bassline ! Magic and epic at the same time... From Germany Johnny D reworks the song with his special groove and vibe ! Already tried and tested by Gilles Peterson in the last month....... this is a another monster tune from the Freaks stable.
