This intercontinental collaboration features an original track from Tokyo, a singer from New York (Monique Bingham) and a remix from Berlin and is one of the many remix singles spinning around Studio Apartment's last year's full length album by the name of '2020~'. The predecessors already received massive support from Black Coffee with 3 tracks in his official Spotify Track IDs playlist. Deckert's remix takes a deep and dramatic spin on the housey vibe of the original, garnished with his signature precision bass shots and a driving 808 tom groove.

Studio Apartment is a Japanese house music institution with a library of about 300 original tracks and 9 albums about a range of nearly 2 decades, with residencies in Ibiza and releases on legendary labels such as Defected in between. The producer crossed paths with German newcomer Deckert on shared DJ booths on his first Japan tour in 2018, starting a long lasting friendship between Asia and Europe.

Kicking off his musical career more than a decade ago as a bass player for Germany’s most notorious Indiepop Act 'Jennifer Rostock', electronic lateral entrant Deckert joined forces with like-minded producer & dj Aaaron back in 2017. Their aspiring first collaboration 'L.D.O.E.' had an unexpected but massive impact on dancefloors all over the globe, manifesting a place for both artists in the ensemble of Connected, the label run by UK’s legendary Stereo MCs.

Deckert’s sound is influenced by a broad variety of widespread genres combined with years of field trips into the concrete heart of techno Berlin, ultimately resulting in the melody infused interpretation of contemporary percussive house soundscapes, mostly accompanied by a signature bass guitar. His ongoing collaborations with Aaaron released widely acclaimed EPs on labels such as MoBlack, Chapter 24, Connected and Scatcity, escorted by different Remixes and Solo EPs.

Furthermore the multi instrument musician is one half of the electronic Liveact DEORBITING with a steady output on Oliver Koletzki’s label Stil vor Talent.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2005 album Staring Into Space, Glaswegian duo Silicone Soul present a Darkroom Dubs reissue featuring two pivotal remixes that helped define the album’s legacy. 

Leading the charge is Ewan Pearson’s electrifying remix of The Poisoner’s Diary - a masterclass in sonic transformation. Pearson channels raw new wave urgency into the original, fusing its proto-dark disco leanings with climactic synth flourishes and machine-gun claps. The result marked a creative breakthrough for Pearson and added a defining edge to Silicone Soul’s catalogue, foreshadowing the darker aesthetic that would come to shape European dancefloors.

The vocal version adds another layer of intensity with the haunting delivery of Stuart Gray (from Glasgow indie band Viva Stereo). His stark post-punk refrains narrate a chilling gothic tale of emotional unravelling, an allegory for love’s collapse.

Adding further weight to this anniversary package, Berlin’s Dirt Crew deliver a powerful rework of Inferno. Amplifying the original's deep dub foundations, they lay down an irresistible Italo-disco bassline while framing the timeless toast, 'What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul?’ This is a remix that balances spiritual gravitas with dancefloor intensity, a reminder of Dirt Crew’s signature touch during their own breakthrough years.

These remixes have been lovingly remastered by Conor Dalton (Glowcast Audio) from the original DATs, giving DJs, collectors, and new listeners a fresh chance to experience two standout reinterpretations from the Silicone Soul archive. Twenty years on, they remain as vital as ever.

connected jump-start summer with a fantastic collection of remixes of Marius Maier, aka Re.You's excellent ‘Maison’ album from May this year. Top contemporary artists who are all close personal DJ friends of Marius all feature to add their own slant and style, including his brother Santé, plus Rodriguez Jr., Anja Schneider, Floyd Lavine, Kadosh and plenty more.
Up first, Cologne natives and underground mainstays AndHim flip 'Inyani' ft.Oluhle & Aaaron into a steamy tribal house cut with worldly vocal wails and withering synths that make you want to wiggle. Chief Mobilee artist Rodriguez Jr. then goes for a cosmic minded rework of Relocate ft. Stereo MCs that has subtle but epic breakdowns and frazzled bass building the mood.
Topango then takes 'Inyani' and sensitively rebuilds it as a spine-tingling vocal cut with a spiritual atmosphere that is truly unique, and Innervisions and Watergate's deep and melodic house maestro Kadosh shows off his superb skills on his steamy and mysterious remix of 'Soft.' David Mayer lays down some of his fancily heavy but funky drum grooves on a remix of 'If You' ft.Elli that will have you skipping along in no time, and Berlin's tireless creative force Anja Schneider then stands out with her emotive take on 'Strings Of Joy' ft. Florian Busse & Ahmad, which has a storytelling lead synth and chunky drums all overlaid with a big-hearted vocal.
Avidus is Marc Wolf and Fritz Wagner, a pair who have turned heads in just two short years thanks to tunes on Crosstown which have been as compelling, sensitive and well crafted as the synth dances that weave into their remix of 'When I'm Lost' ft.Elli. Next up, new school Berlin tastemaker Santé remixes 'Relocate' ft. Stereo Mc's into a chunky, stripped-back house groove for cosy basement spaces and South African house hero Floyd Lavine returns to his home label with another vital remix that takes on an elegant and afro tinged trip into stunning house territory. German duo and MoBlack associates Cosmo & Kramer then close out with a ragged, electro-tinged version of Strings Of Joy ft. Florian Busse & Ahmad that will make the club sweat.
These are fantastic new reinterpretations of the excellent source material and all add up to a high-class treasure trove for DJs and dancers alike.

First up to remix is Italian-Swiss composer Parsifal, a well-known face who runs his own Kinesen label. His interpretation of '1-1' adds new layers of melody and breadth to the minimalist approach of the original track and tells a story of its own. Finally, Everything Counts aka Teodora "Toshka" from Bulgaria and Chris Leon take 'Sakura Dust' on a melancholic ride by intensifying the East Asian foundation to its core.
