Sol Selectas presents the first solo EP from Israeli artist Laroz, who has previously been featured on the Summer Sol compilation series. 

Laroz's genuine passion for African music inspired this EP, which is a fusion of traditional ethnic rhythms and organic house beats.  “Miombo” refers to the woodlands which covers several portions of the South-Central African Plateau, and the enchanting vocals naturally combine with the raw electronic groove. 

“Laganga” features the amazing vocals of Faytinga, an Eritrean artist. The deep house chords marry perfectly with her emotional vocals, and we can feel the passion of both artists transmitted through the song. 

For the remix of “Miombo” we welcome Sam Shure from Berlin for his first time on the label. Sam delivers a peak time afro tech gem, focusing his sites on the tribal drums, creating a mind-blowing rendition complete with a breakdown which is pure psychedelic madness. 

On “Laganga”, we invited our dear friend Rodrigo Gallardo (formerly of Matanza) from Chile, to remix this heart opening tune. Rodrigo delivers a gorgeous downtempo interpretation, skillfully finessing the vocals of Faytinga, adding a live marimba groove, and as well some subtle modular effects. His remix maintains all the emotion and and beauty of the original, and rounds out the release package nicely with a soothing alternative for listeners to enjoy. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali is a union of the lush African nature and the cultural creativity of its beautiful people.

"Conceptualized in 2010 with the intent of showcasing cutting edge electronic music, the series has grown into one of the underground’s most critically acclaimed collections. Now embarking on their ninth edition, Movement invites (in order of appearance) Undefined (MT), Cedren & Manu-l, Mark Finkel, Stylo, Forniva, Eleven Sins, Kostas Skretas & Theodore Ali, Diogo Ribeiro, Stergios Sigma & Mike T and Alejandro Manso  to round out the year in style. 

The release begins with the deep, sultry sounds of ‘Hasira’ by Undefined (MT), Cedren & Manu-l. Beginning with a tight percussive cadence and mystical atmospheres the piece evolves into an arp driven slice of hypnotic progressive heaven. Not without emotive moments, the mood shifts once more with a heartfelt break, perfectly transitioning the piece into a celestial finale. Next up is a collaborative effort from Mark Finkel and Stylo who contribute a trippy creation entitled ‘Different Worlds’. Aptly coined, it’s a piece set to transport your dance floor into an otherworldly state. Wonky synth clusters coupled with a rough and uniquely modern groove make this an unforgettable creation. 

This dark, mysterious ethos continues with ‘Blue Tone’ by Forniva & Eleven Sins. The sometime studio partners paint a dramatic sonic collage across the first act, before a poignant break elevates the mood for a heady finale of free flowing arps and ghostly vocal edits. 

The collaborations continue with Kostas Skretas & Theodore Ali presenting their latest studio creation ‘Black Mirror’. The Greek duo once again craft something unique, exciting and tastefully poignant. Beginning with a dark, brooding underbelly it’s a piece that moves subtly into emotive territory, as symphonic atmospheres descend over the framework, perfectly setting up a break of dulcet tones, before a rhythmic drop seals it’s brilliance. Based in the world, made in Berlin and powered by the audience: this is Einmusika Recordings. Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Emotional and uplifting comes Paji’s version of “Starlings“ by N’to, what an unique remix - individual and spheric.

Spanish-bred label debutant Mario Bazouri. His newest EP entitled "The 
Lost Ones" was created after losing both of his Bull Terrier dogs last 
year in a space of 2 months. The dogs meant everything to Mario, so he 
decided to name the tracks "Tito" and "Greta" after them. EP includes 
also a bonus track "Matumbo".

Exclusive Totoray - Until The End 

Musical maestro Toto Chiavetta and suavely raw artist Coloray teamed up at any level for their common project's first release Until the End/ Everlasting Movement. Putting the facts on the table: Intercept and Borders of Light turn to the Wortkontamination Interlight, the same happens to the artists' names as Toto and Coloray transform to Totoray for the duo's debut EP. But to develop the initially mentioned contamination further Coloray and Toto obtain a common sound that - despite the different musical approaches of each artist – contains elements from both worlds, which in the final outcome vibe like a smoothly created symbiosis. However, the both's sound is not as different as one might assume as either Toto Chiavetta's musical compositions as well as Coloray's sound and cracking voice contain a level of rawness at which the artist themselves easily could have and did meet. The result is three tracker Everlasting Movement / Until the End, which - besides the two original versions - contains a remix from Musumeci. Until the End though skilfully wraps up the aforementioned rawness, the perfectly orchestrated imperfectness and is – of course – topped with Coloray's vocals that make it sound like a genre-blending Indie/ House-tune in the most accurate manner.

Totoray's EP Everlasting Movement / Until the End will be released on Interlight on May 1st, 2020.
