His musical odyssey began at a  very young age, mastering various instruments, which later amalgamated into his passion for music production at the age of 17. His compositions are a sonic journey designed to stir the soul, sway the body, and stimulate the mind. Drawing inspiration from the diverse sounds of different cultures, SHRI captures the essence of his experiences in each unique melody, consistently enchanting the hearts of his listeners. His journey led him to explore House music and its subgenres, including Progressive House and Organic House.

Droid9 Sessions 035 - Kebin Van Reeken

The month of July flew by for me.  My family and I spent a week or the road, then 3 days later, I spent a week in the UK.  This months episode of Unwind Your Mind for 2nd Fridays on Saturo with my brothers Darren Gibbs and Gabe Real - The Crate DGGRRS - I went in tired and with not many expectations.  
Turns out, this months show is exactly what I needed for a nice boost of inspiration!

Underground Colombo (UC) was envisioned by Kushan Dissanayake, and his co-founder, Kasun Dissanayake, who is known as Kais D. This dynamic duo, driven by their shared passion for underground music, embarked on this journey together in 2016.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of Sri Lanka's music scene, they had a vision—to cultivate a close-knit community that immersed itself in the rhythms they cherished. Alongside them was their best friend, Buddika Wijebandara, forming an unbreakable trio.

Their first step was the establishment of a Facebook community, a digital haven for kindred spirits, which rapidly flourished and now boasts a dedicated following of 15,000 strong. But that was only the beginning.
