It's been a while since we featured another female DJ/producer and today we're presenting an exclusive and intense guest mix by @kallisto_music. She delivers a groovy, upbeat progressive house, full of analog warmth. 

Kallisto - aka Melanie Carr is a New Zealand-born and Melbourne based Dj/producer who is emerging in 2022 as one to watch. Her DJ sets, the energy behind the decks and upcoming releases draw on her deep love of both melodic house and progressive techno. She describes the perfect DJ set as "one that takes you on a journey away from the dance-floor and to a place where you feel a deep connection with the music."

Drawing on her experience in underground music as both an independent festival organiser, dance floor lover and longtime music super fan. She describes her sound as a unique fusion of artists such as Stan Kolev, Amir Telem and European progressive sounds of Miss Monique and the like.

Kallisto's first single is set to drop at the start of Dec 2022. She has been working tirelessly in the studio to move her sound beyond music and vibe curator to music creator. Bringing her own unique vision to the production space.

We’re just few days ahead for Christmas and it’s super busy. So we welcome everyone for our Subterrânea 39th episode! We are most grateful for all the support we've received and the opportunity to support such wonderful artists.

About DMTRV:

Andrew Dmitriev, known as DMTRV, was born in Russia in the city of Omsk. During his school years, his musical taste was greatly influenced by such bands and musicians as Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Basemant Jaxx and many others. Since the early 2000s, he began to immerse himself in the world of electronic music and his love for it prompted a strong desire to take up DJing. Andrew began his career as a DJ in 2010. During this time, he tried himself in various styles of electronic dance music and played in many clubs in the city of Omsk. And finally, in 2020, he found himself in the Progressive House style and began to develop in this style and promote it to the masses. Since 2024, Andrey has been developing in this style and is promoting it in Moscow.

Brann makes his long-awaited return to Manual Music's MNL imprint with The Last Sunlight, a stunning release that reminds us why he's such a beloved name in the progressive house scene. Underground Colombo (UC) was envisioned by Kushan Dissanayake, and his co-founder, Kasun Dissanayake, who is known as Kais D. This dynamic duo, driven by their shared passion for underground music, embarked on this journey together in 2016.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of Sri Lanka's music scene, they had a vision—to cultivate a close-knit community that immersed itself in the rhythms they cherished. Alongside them was their best friend, Buddika Wijebandara, forming an unbreakable trio.

Their first step was the establishment of a Facebook community, a digital haven for kindred spirits, which rapidly flourished and now boasts a dedicated following of 15,000 strong. But that was only the beginning.

Determined to take their passion to the next level, they decided to launch their own SoundCloud page. This expansion was made possible with the unwavering support of Azmara Veera, a pivotal figure in UC's journey. She, along with the team, contributed creative forces that allowed UC to venture into new territories. 

However, UC isn't solely about music; it's a dynamic, all-encompassing experience. They added a unique visual and editorial flair to UC, making it an aesthetic delight.
