A riff and a melody I came up with 20 years ago. I haven't been able to shake it off. I've re-recorded the tracks, added some more and found myself not being able to bin ONE single idea. Finally, it's documented and officially a piece of music. File under "Nostalgia".

Fire In The Canyon / I-95

FoW* Tribute Project

The rules of this little home experiment were drawn up as I went along. The never-ending shortage of spare time as a parent of two made me settle for these 3 rules:

Recording lead vox and acoustic guitar with a SINGLE mic - I was trying out different micing positions for recording voice alongside strumming/picking guitar. Playing around with this is really how I re-discovered these epic FoW songs.

No listening to the albums - Had to depend on my main idea/memory of the original arrangement and do the rest myself. Saved me a lot of time.

Learn something - Perhaps the main thing really.. Quicker and easier recording sessions and better mixes.
