Sid was one of the first people I worked with on this project back in 2012. I had met him at a MultKulti party in Wicker Park & we immediately hit it off. When he came over to record he brought with him a bindle full of found instruments. When we recorded I just let him do his thing. This track is the result.

In the style of “Okie from Muskogee” and dedicated The Great City of Terre Haute, IN, USA, “Excuse Me!, Terre Haute” is the first single from the full length, site specific album, by “2012: 47807:“, The song was produced by Myke Flaherty and RiteSedJed during a lost weekend at The Mill.

In addition to the full song, the Maxi-Single features 9 different renditions, including remixes and covers of the original song. A non site-specific Bonus Track, produced by Myke Flaherty and featuring RiteSedJed, titled, “Metasin (Here Comes Darth Morbius”), is also included.

2012:47807:maxi-single_EMTH-Track6 // "Excuse Me!, Terre Haute (Myke Flaherty's Crowpoke RMX)"

After the initial success of 2012:47807:maxi-single:”Excuse Me!, Terre Haute.”, we decided to release two more singles from the upcoming 2012:47807: album. We asked you to do a remix or a cover version to be included on these releases. On 11/18/11 2012:47807: delivered and released their 2nd maxi-single which includes the 2 singles from the upcoming full length album as well as your remixes and covers. The two singles, “Klepto Hands” & “Pay for the Party”, are the final singles to be released in support of the full length, site-specific, album; 2012:47807: “Serving the Community”.  A delightful tune about stealing stuff, “Klepto Hands” features vocals by RiteSedJed, UmbaMaloba, & Alice Forehand, with vocal samples from Sasha-K, and turntables by Gigante. “Pay for the Party” is a ballad about dressing for the party and messing for the show, featuring vocals by Dude & Ben Christjansen, with live drums contributions from Chris Foote.

In addition to the 2 singles, “Klepto Hands” and “Pay for the Party”, the Maxi-Single features 13 different renditions, including remixes and covers of the original 2 songs. Also included on the digital release is a Bonus Track, “PFTP [ Dude's Poor Man's Remix ]“.

Recorded in Portland, OR in 2008,  2012: 97201: “All is Music on the Western Front.” is the full length album by 2012:97201, the west coast ensemble from the 2012: Site-Specific project. This full length album was recorded and produced by Myke Flaherty with tremendous help from fellow producers, XmaSafari & RiteSedJed, with whom Flaherty was living with at the time. Originally released in 2009, various version were printed/uploaded and distributed; although the album has yet to have a proper release. For now, the most recent version is the 2011 version available for download below. Maxi-Singles, Videos, and a release Party in Portland, OR is planned for 2012.
