Addendum:

Please excuse the background hiss.  This is not really apparent on my master.  It would seem to be an aberration created by Soundcloud's compression codec.  This majority of this piece was created mainly on vintage outboard gear which itself does produce a fair amount hiss which I attempted mediate using the appropriate sound re-enforcement techniques; gating etc.  I may go back and remaster a mix for Soundcloud exclusively... 

... but probably not.  My hardware only projects are usually one offs, anyway.

You're a Quirky Little Thing

Edit 3 of 'If You Ever Make It Home'.  Version 3 was taken from the longer version which originally had no percussion.  Percussion elements arranged using the Akai S-950 12bit digital sampler.  

Main synth elements re-sequenced from Version 1 originally played on the Roland SH-101 and Sequential Sixtrak, respectively.  

Thanks to Joe Lentini for the feedback regarding the drum programming.   

If You Ever Make It Home (Version 3)

Offbeat experimental trip-hop grove piece featuring a 70s inspired keyboard riff.  Pulled out the MPC-2000 for this one for that thumpy kick drum.   Crazy percussion effects by routing the MPC to the Electribe's input filter and delay feedback.

Underscore Research - Walnuts

Tripping Long for Home is pretty much an homage to one of my all time favorite electronic works, The Orb's dubby powerhouse tunes, 'Tower of Dub' and 'Slvg Dvb'.  My hopes are that one day this piece finds its way to LX Patterson himself so that he can here the homage to the track that essentially kicked off my passion for making electronic music.  The very end of this piece is a true testament to my love for The Orb's style of doing things.

Duane M. Broadnax is the face behind Underscore Research.  Broadnax isn't constrained by working with any single electronic genre.  Instead driving his projects by whatever mood grabs him at any particular moment.

Broadnax is heavily influenced by electronic music masters Brian Eno and The Orb however, the Underscore Research project is not constrained by any single genre.  

When he hits 'record' whatever happens... happens.
