This set has the mission to not be just another set, but take you on a journey. The vision of Kira Kaluma and the collective of 4 other women is to inspire people to connect more deeply with their inner and the outer nature. To empower with the music to change the way of living, in form of a new world.
They take you on a journey, with tribal, oriental, jungle sounds, the organic sounds of a new world, blended with the electronic beats of the world now we live in.
This set is a beautiful opportunity to not just dance at another party, it’s an invitation to reflect the own way of living and is reminding us, that each one of us, has the power to change something, to create something for a better world. This journey is a creation of 5 wild women, combining and performing their arts of Dj, dance, life painting and singing. Let yourself drift on a wave of energy taking you, feel the tribe, drive it wild, drive it colorful and be the change.

"We take you on a journey to a planet called Kaluma. The people on the planet live deeply connected with their nature and the nature surrounding them. They respect each other, love each other, encourage themselves to dream big. They dance for freedom, for peace on this planet, called Kaluma. Suddenly, as we are on this journey together, we realize; it´s not another planet, it´s still our earth. But it´s transformed, into a new world. The 3000 Grad crew completely transformed the Ritter Butzke into a magical land so it was super fun to play in such a special atmosphere!

A concept I've been toying with for the past couple of months.
A concept that was only put into words post-AfrikaBurn this year. 
A concept that resonates with me.
A big people's word for enthusiasm!
- My favourite word.

And boy, that was a hell of an enthusiastic show!
I wish more than anything that I could aptly describe or even share what it feels like to be surrounded by so much energy coming from so many people.
To see their souls carrying their bodies. Moving them. Dancing through them.

A lot of effort went into this performance, as I usually do with performances of this size. The primary difference is that I am coming closer and closer to having a fully integrated live element to my set, that produces 50% of the sound or more. 
This time around, I managed to hook up my synthesizer. (Fucking beast)
It was as powerful as I hoped it would be. I could see people reacting to the tiniest changes I made to the really low-end frequencies.

The set is constructed of around 8 movements. If you pay attention you will hear them changing. 
I won't bore you with the particulars, but I think it to be one of the most epic stories I have strung together to date. 

Huge thank you to the @youknowthespacecowboys, without whom I would be years behind where I am today.
Truly the most amazing group of ladies and gentlemen I have ever come across.
Their unwavering belief in me, and their willingness not only to give me these incredible chances but to teach me how it is done with love and care is beyond belief.
I am truly humbled to call myself a Space Cowboy and to call the Space Cowboys my friends.

When I played it live, it was 3h long. Unfortunately, this was not the year for live recording. But, I'm reasonably happy with how the studio version has come out. 
This is the last time I rely on someone else to record my music.

AfrikaBurn 2024 - Space Cowboys - Saturday Night - 10pm - 1am

Reflecting on the Sofacast journey reminds me of just how magical this project has been. So many DJs have led us through the depths of electronic music, uncovering hidden gems from a vast sea of talented producers, each with their own unique voice. It’s a celebration of music, creativity, and the passion that connects us all.

As we reach the 100th episode, instead of a big spectacle, I opted for something more intimate. My dear friend and seasoned DJ, Backhaus, brings his signature touch to this special mix—proof that sometimes less truly is more.

Thank you for being part of this musical voyage. Here’s to many more adventures together.

many people don't know my love for underground psytrance, which are my roots for alternative music since i was very young. it was a great pleasure to play this set for an event by techno na quebrada - a collective organizing awesome raves in brazil.
understood once again my deep connection to this music and how much i love playing it. hope you enjoy listening to this, even though it has a few minor transition fuck ups :)
